I have a new Dell XPS 13 laptop with a resolution of 3200 x 1800. When I run AOMEI, the interface doesn't scale up and the application box and text are tiny. All other applications I've used so far somehow figure out to scale up. Is there a way to fix this via a setting in AOMEI? I'm not going to change my resolution each time I run backup - so that is not an option. Thanks for your help

"View logs" window sort by date is sorting as text
The "View logs" window in the Home > "backup task" > Advanced > Properties > View logs - sort by date function sorts as text and not as date. So the result is like: 1.1.2015, 10.1.2015, 2.1.2015
Tested on WIndows 7 Professional x86 and Aomei Backupper v3.0 Free and Pro

Windows Update does not work in new SSD Drive
I have Windows 7 Professional. I used Partitions Assistant to migrate to an SSD drive. Every thing works fine except when I try to do a Windows Update on the new drive, I get the following message:
“Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer.”
Windows Update does work in my original hard drive. I also tried cloning the hard drive with Acronis and got exactly the same results.

AOMEI Backupper Technician (Enterprise Plus) - license
I need support to load an image I mad of my Window 2003R2 server, Dell PowerEadge 2950.
There new disk I installed (three Disk) RAID 5.
I booted with the bootable disk I mad with you software but, it dose not recognize the new disk.

Necessarity and turn off creation of SYSTAG.BIN and AMTAG.BIN?
As far as I can see Aomei Backupper creates two files SYSTAG.BIN and AMTAG.BIN in the root directory of the backuped partition.
Whats the prupose of them?
Assume I (accidentially) delete these files manually: Are later Restores still possible?
Can I suppress somehow the creation of these files?

Error 4105 'Not enough memory to process this command"
Receiving the 4105 error during backup at around the 85% complete level. It's a relatively new install of Windows Server 2008 (2 weeks ago). The C-drive backs up fine, the error occurs on the RAID 5 D-drive (6 TB, <100 GB in use. Chkdsk was clean on both drives. The machine has 32 GB of memory, and no other programs were using it other than Backupper and Windows (almost all was free). What should I do?

Aomei Backupper Server
Hi,
Running the trial version of Backupper Server. Install went fin with no issues at all, configured first backup which is our "Shared Data" (about 120gb), and the destination is a Freecom NAS drive setup as a mapped drive.
So far its been running about 2hrs and still on the "Scanning Authority Files". Granted the figure at the bottom is rising so its actually doing something.
My concerns about using this application, is around the time is taking to do this initial scan. Will it go through this process everytime it goes to do a backup, i.e I setup a daily regime, is it going to take this long to do the scan each time?
Any advice would be very much welcome.

Error code 12 can't restart windows
Can anyone help me? I installed Partition assistant and ran the SSD optimizer, the program restaarted my computer adn now comes up with error code 12 and says to press any key to reboot, however it will not accept any key press and the only way to reboot is to shut the pc off and then restart it. However it goes back to running the optimize program and locks up again. Plus it will not accept any key to abort the program before it runs. I need to know how to abort or get around the program running before it loads because once it does my USB keyboard is useless as no ky has any effect.

VSS utilisation during PE boot
Hello,
I am about to clone a old HDD from external enclosure to a SSD which replaced the drive in a Sony VAIO notebook.
I've used a bootable USB drive and the Clone > System clone feature. The System clone progress dialog shows a "Failed to enable VSS" error message. I dont think VSS is used in PE envirement. The cloning progresses just fine, but the error is misleading.

Help to get started with Backupper
I was attracted to AOMEI Backupper because it looked clean and straight forward (for a none-techie). However, I have not been able to get started, so would welcome some assistance. First of all, what is the difference between System and Disk Backup? Is it that the latter includes everything on the Disk (eg. c) including programs / apps, folders & files?
Regarding System Backup, Step 1 (selecting partitions or volumes) is greyed out and unresponsive and I get the message "The program does not find the system partition". Why is this and what should I do about it?
Regarding Disk Backup what is "Basic MBR"? It reports"14.64 GB Unallocated space". What is this? It cannot mean the free space on the C Disk which is nowhere near this much. Does it mean that is what is required for the Backup --- if so it seems a lot. My SSD is only 24GB and free space (unallocated?) is only about 5GB. I will need to know in advance how much space the Backup will require --- I was thinking of using (say) three DVDs
It will be clear from the above that I am in need of some fairly basic advice!

System Recovery
Hi There,
I have a full system backup using the free version. I am trying to restore it using VMware Workstation. I can boot from the recovery CD and restore my image but it doesn't seem to get a drive letter. Windows can't boot. Can I just turn on the image file? Or do I need to do something else to get Windows working. I have tried booting from my Windows CD but it just starts installing and doesn't give me the option to repair.
I'm using Windows 7.

Problems and bugs in AOMEI Backupper Technician 2.5 ...
Hello,
we use AOMEI Backupper Technician 2.5 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 to create backups to a remote NAS. There are 2 problems or bugs in our environment ...
1) SMTP Notification is not possible. 'Sorry, failed to send the test message' is the output. We use our own SMTP-Server on port 25 without encryption. Using telnet, I am able to send SMTP-mails to the same SMTP-server, but with AOMEI Backupper this fails? Does AOMEI need further Roles or Features on Windows Server 2008 R2 ?
2) Could you please arrange, that AOMEI tasks that are scheduled, are set to run, no matter if users are logged on or not. The tasks are always scheduled to only run, when users are logged on. That's annoying!

Even with the latest release, we are unable to send notifications over SMTP. Neither over AOMEI SMTP server, nor with internal SMTP servers?
Has anybody here sucessfully send SMTP notifications over internal SMTP servers? I am waiting to use this since AOMEI Backupper 2.5 ?

asking for a password to access public seagate central drive
Asking for a password to access public seagate central drive. Until last week Aomei Backupper worked well. After an attempted scheduled back up this morning it showed an error that it was unable to see the storage drive. Now it is asking for a password to a public sector of my Seagate Central network drive. There is no password for this sector. Not inserting a password gives a "password invalid" error. Any clues anyone?

PE Builder 1.4 generates STOP error
I can use my Backupper technician software to generate WinPE disc on USB without problem but I want both my backupper and partition assistant. But, if I use PE Builder 1.4, the USB generated stops with blue screen upon boot with Error "stop c0000145 application error 0xc000000d". I tried safe mode in WinPE and the driver AMBAKDRV.SYS is the failing file.

4140 error – no flash drive the AOMEI Backupper is able to backup portable disk
