When trying to convert disk to GPT I get this information: Sorry, the current operation has been cancelled! Information Code: 6 Description: The partition table on the disk was faled to update as the partition table is being locked by other programs, please close other programs and retry.
I've checked everywhere and can't determine which program that would be. Any ideas?

I am trying to restore an image of my SSD took earlier today.
I have the image stored on a different HDD. When I try to restore the image i get the following error:
"Restore is initializing...
Checking volumes...
Disk restoring...
Information Code:214
Not
enough reserve space. Please make big enough available space for target
partition. If you have checked the "Align partition to optimize for
SSD" option, uncheck it please and try again because this option will
adjust partition accordingly and may cause this error."
Any ideas? How can it be that the space is not enoupgh when its the same disk?

I was looking at the tutorials for setting backups via command scripts. The examples show to execute "AMBackup" as the program name. I looked in my program files (x86) directory and there is NO "AMBackup.exe". In fact executing that name as a command, gets you file not found. I do have a "Backupper.exe" in the AOMEI backupper directory. So I tried using that but alas it just hangs. Here is a copy of my command script:
cd c:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Backupper
Backupper /b new /t system /d "y:\AOMEI_bkup\Backup_1" /n "Lap_Top_System" /c 1 /m 4812
If I look at task mgr, it shows it running, but not doing anything (No cpu usage). After about 10 minutes, I canceled it and re-tried it several times with the same result. Maybe I coded something wrong. Any input would be appreciated.
PS: I'm running on a Windows 8.1 system on a HP laptop. I have the Free version of Backupper version 3.0. If you need further info I'll provide it

I am planning to replace the 128GB SSD in my Samsung Ultrabook with a brand new 250GB Samsung SSD. Since the laptop only has 1 mSATA connector, my plan was to clone the existing drive to the new one using a USB mSATA adapter, then physically replace the drive. Aomei Partition Manager was highly recommended for this.
I installed it, then selected the Clone option. All seemed fine and the sytem rebooted to PreOS mode as expected and the process kicked off. After a few minutes it halted with the following error:
"Failed to initialize $MFT file due to error in file system. Please amend it by using chkdsk.exe in cmd to retry."
I ran chkdsk /f /r on the C: drive (it reported the drive as clean) and ran a full check on the target drive from PM, again, no problems or bad sectors found.
That pretty much exhausts my technical knowledge. Any suggestions would be great. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere - i did a search on the support doc but couldn't find anything obvious.

My problem is this, I backed up an image file from my system drive then I tried to restore it; however, the program said that I need more space than the drive itself - it needs 224 GB from 223 SSD.
So how do I fix this?
Can I trim the image file?

I'm running Win6 x64 with the latest version of AOMEI Backupper Standard.
I've been using AOMEI Backupper and PA for a couple of years, and loved them before now. Now, I hate them.
I downloaded Backupper 3 (free version) and ran the install. It first asked me if I wanted to delete the old Backupper, so I said yes, and it did that and stopped. So I started the install again, and it stopped in the middle of the install, saying it couldn't copy some dll. No big deal, I thought, I'll reboot and try again. But I couldn't reboot - boot error. I booted my Windows DVD and tried to repair it --- it couldn't repair it. I attached another drive and booted from that, and found that my old C drive was gone -- the other partitions on the same physical hard drive were still there, but the 100GB C drive was gone, and in its place was the 128MB Windows EFI partition or whatever, which had been hidden before.
Not a complete disaster, because I had a recent backup image, and I was about to install Windows 10 anyway. I installed Win10 on a new drive, and taking complete leave of my senses, I installed Backupper 3 on it. That went without incident. Then I made a backup of the new Win10 boot partition, to restore to where my old C drive was. The backup said it couldn't proceed because VSS wasn't started (it was, I checked before I started the backup), but it proceeded anyway, and reported success. There was just 14GB of data, since it was a new Win10 install, and I had deleted the Windows.old folder before I made the backup.
Then I restored the Win10 image I just made to my old C drive that had been trashed by the Backupper install earlier. It reported success, but suddenly a 1.5TB partition on the same drive was gone. Just gone. I looked in PA, and it said the space was unallocated. I had over a terabyte of very important programs and files on that drive. Looks like they are gone forever.

When a scheduled system backup running AOMEI Backuper Pro 3.0 starts to run I get an error message that says "AOMEI Backuper has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly." This appears to be a AOMEI error message and not Windows.
This problem occurs on every scheduled backup however I can run the backup manually. In the Windows 7 Application Log it shows that a application error occured but nothing else. I think AOMEI and Windows needs to expand their error messages a little bit.
Any ideas about what is going on?
I've been trying to make a 'Windows To Go' USB drive. I ran the
Windows To Go Creator, and it finished without error. However, when I
put the USB drive in any computer and boot up, it doesn't work. I see
the blue Windows symbol, and the animated spinning circle, but then it
just hangs. I've waited for hours to make sure, but when it hangs, there
is no USB or HD activity.
Any Ideas?
tried to make a system image, but in 'step 1' portion it is blank with notce undermeath stating it failed to find the system partition.
I have Windows 8.1 on an Acer Switch 10.
Also, trying to create a bootable recovery drive on my USB external, it fails to even list that device.
This is a 'two in one' notebook/tablet... thus has no DVD/CD drive, so I must be able to do this to the USB. And of coure the Backupper, must recognize my W8 system and boot drives else this porgram is utterly usless to me, correct?
So any advice on how to proceed will be warmly received...

Asking for a password to access public seagate central drive. Until last week Aomei Backupper worked well. After an attempted scheduled back up this morning it showed an error that it was unable to see the storage drive. Now it is asking for a password to a public sector of my Seagate Central network drive. There is no password for this sector. Not inserting a password gives a "password invalid" error. Any clues anyone?
