ambackup.exe not compatible in WinPE environment

I am evaluating the AMBackupper Professional 4.0.6 with the 30 day trial on a Windows 10 x64 v10.0.14393 host. I created a bootable USB and rebooted the system which then loaded into the WinPE environment. Here, I opened a command prompt under Utilities. I found that AMBackup.exe is not present under X:\. So, I changed location to "C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Backupper". When I run AMBackup.exe here, I get the following message:

This version of C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Backupper\AMBackup.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information and then contact the software publisher.

1. Does this mean that AMBackup cannot be run in command line under WinPE? I noticed in one of the older threads that this was not possible. Is this the case even in v4.0.6 today?

2. My requirement is to execute AMBackup commands from command prompt under WinPE. Is this possible at all or are there any other alternative ways? Please suggest.

Can I safely rename these incremental files?

Hello. I used Backupper on my now failed old computer. I have a full disk backup saved from the 23rd, and a total of 9 incremental backups over the next few days. The first 3 incremental files are in FOLDER A and named file, file1 and file 2. The last 6 are in FOLDER A / subFOLDER B and named file, file1.... file5. By their modified dates, I could easily reorder and rename these, but don't want to make a mistake:

I need to restore this backup to a new computer. Could you tell me the safest way to rename and order these files based on how Backupper works best? Or are these filenames and locations an issue that can't be sorted?

Thank you for you help.

AOMEI Partition Assistant - access failure error?

I have a problem with AOMEI Partition Assistant. The program was working fine and now an error is displaying that will not allow access to the program.  The error is " Sorry, no disk found. Some hard disk drives may be locked by other programs, which caused the access failure. Please close the programs and try again!"
I have tried rebooting the system, reinstalled the program, tried system restore (before the error occurred) nothing seems to work to clear this error. Any ideas please?

Hi,

I use the AOMEI Backupper Standard and for the first time I need to recover/restore data.

I do not want restore the "whole" system rom a specific date, but only specific files or folders.

But I do not find the way to choose the files/folders I want ro restore.

Is this possible in general and if yes, how?

How to restore individual folders or files from a files backup

$

I have used AOMEI to back up both files and drives. Using the files backup I saved the data from my data partition, but now I need to restore just one folder from that backup. But it's not possible. I clicked "explore" and it showed me the contents - fine - but when I want to restore one folder it only offers "full backup" which I don't want, and don't have room for.

I thought I could select the folder, and then select where to restore it. When I did that, it started a FULL partition restore! Is there another way to do it that I don't know about, or is it only possible to restore the full partition?

Which Files are Incremental?

Hello,
I'm new to Backupper, and have a question re incremental backup: supposing I have a folder with three files, A,B.and  C. and have chosen incremental backup. Aomei makes a full backup. At some point I add another file to the folder, D, and make another incremental backup. At this point I have two backup files.  How can I look at the incremental backup and see just the added file, which is critical  if you just want to see what you were doing that day. The listing shows all the files in the folder alphabetically, without any dates, so you can't tell which files you were working on,

Thanks

What am I suppose to see when I make an AOMEI bootable media?

AOMEI Backupper paid version.

What am I suppose to see?
I was looking at it as if it were a form of a Windows recovery disk, but I get my home screen with windows settings screen. It appears to be pretty much the same as normal. I log in with my PIN number, just as when I log in regularly. I did include system files, BTW.

I honestly don't know what I'm looking at.

Thanks in advance.

Real-time Sync, deletion of folder in the destination

Hi

The "Real-time Sync" from a USB stick to the hard disk works fine.
But when a folder is deleted in the USB stick, the folder is still left untouched in the hard disk. I want it removed in the harddisk.
How to solve that? To manually go in to the hard disk and remove folders seems a bit akward...

Aomei Backupper Standard v6.2 and up doesn't detect locations to backup.

I can't use any versions of Aomei Backupper standard newer than 6.1 due to a bug where the program can't detect any partitions or disks, including the system partition. v6.1 works fine, but (as of now,) 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 are all unusable for me.

I can still use older versions fine, so it is a change in the program that was implemented in v6.2, and not an issue with my system.

This issue can cause the automatic backup to run until the process is manually ended in windows task manager, and I've seen some issues in the forums described like that, so they might be related issues.

Also, there's an unrelated bug introduced somewhere between 5.7 and 6.1, (I don't remember which version), which prevents the program from being opened while the automatic backup is running.

Hope you can help!

(Backupper) Restoring disk image deleted system reserved of secondary D drive. Is now inaccessible

$

While restoring a disk image of my secondary d drive I failed to realize the backup didn't have the system reserved partition backed up as well. Thus during the restore process the system reserved section of my d drive was overwritten to match the disk image, which means....nothing. My d drive no longer has anything in the system reserved and is unreadable and inaccessible.

I tried to use AOMEI Partition Assistant's partition recovery wizard, but that hasn't helped. It only restored the non system reserved section of the drive.

I opened device manager, uninstalled the d drive, hoping to reinstall from a fresh start, but upon reboot, everything was just back to how it was. I'm at loss at what to do. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

If it crashes while doing an incremental backup....

If it crashes while doing an incremental back up, can I just delete the increment that crashed and run it again?

For example if I have full back 1 plus increments 2, 3,4 and 5 and while doing increment 6 it crashes, can I just delete increment 6 and run another incremental back up (a new increment 6)?  If I delete the crashed 6th one will it know to start from where 5 left off?

Thanks

New release 6.4 does not use former schedules and logfiles

since I update Backupper to v6.4 my log entries are gone and also my schedule is whiped as if i am a complete new user. Little bit annoying to be honest. Also: "administrator has blocked app access to secure memory for Backupper.exe". Even after giving access: Backupper does not run anymore.
Other with same issues?

I'm having trouble using Partition Assistant to resize my Samsung EVO 64GB micro SD card. The app shows it can go up to only 27.62GB. How can I extend this to the max size of this flash card?

Windows does not start (error code: 15)

Nice to meet you. My name is Asuka. I am Japanese.

Since I am not good at English, I will post on my google translation.

I am in trouble because the PC does not start.

[Operating environment]

PC: Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Tools: AOMEI Partition Assistant (I am sorry, I do not know the version)

[Operation Details]

1. I executed the join of the partitions.

2. The PC said "Please, restart manually".

3. I shut down the PC and started up.

4. "Error code: 15" is displayed on the PC.

I have read the FAQ (http://www.disk-partition.com/help/errorcode.html).

Since windows does not start, I do not know how to reinstall the program.

I also tried restarting the startup.

"Error code: 0x490" is displayed on the PC.

Please let me know if you know the solution.

Backupper free version is not in fact free?

Hi,

I'm a new user, just tried to do a "File Backup" under the free version, but when I click the orange button "Start Backup >>" it just brings up a promotion for the paid version, and the only clickable button is an orange "Upgrade Now". So is there in fact no free version?? Seems like a fairly blatant con if so?!

P.s., there is a blue hyperlink for "Enter License Code", but fairly sure I never was advised of a License Code for the free version, so presumably this still to do with the efforts to upgrade me?

Using Aomei to backup 98 drive

$

Hi
I have an old Pent 3 computer with two hard drives. This is setup as a dual boot system, C drive with Win XP and D drive with Win 98. I would like to install AOMEI(free ver) on the XP drive and use it to make a backup image of the 98 drive. My plan is in the event the 98 drive fails, I would be able to restore the 98 image to a new drive and not have to reinstall everything from scratch. Do you see any issues with Aomei doing this?
Thanks

Incremental Backup

I have read the backuppper user manual and decided to use the System Backup feature to include all existing programs and files.  The Aomei site talks about incremental backup after Disk Backup only.  I just want to verify that I can use System Backup and then add incremental files and programs thereafter.
