recover it ..DONT WORK ...esp on the admission of the developers

Hi, Migrated from HDD to SSD to no avail, when swapping drives, my laptop just says there is no o/s installed on the drive, can you help?

I was cloning a 5TB USB external driver to another exact same one.

After going maybe 20% it report it was finished.  (at 40Mpbs it was a 28 hrs task , No way it was done)

The target was not finished.

Is there a log somewhere?  I was horrified to have it claim is was done when in fact it was not even close.

This is a huge false positive that could have lost a lot of data, if I didn't catch its mistake.  I would like to look at logs it may have written to get to the bottom of the problem.

Can you let me know if there are logs written out anywhere?

data recovery fails!

For the first time, I need to recover data, but this fails.

Back-up-files had been created, but when I want to start the recovery, I get the error message, that the back-up-files is invalid´. I also tried it with back-up-files from different days. No success!

It is horrible to rely on a backup-tool and the first time I urgently need to recover data, then it fails!

Can anyone help me?

Backerupper - amwrtdrv.sys causing BSOD on Windows 10

All of a sudden I am getting the blue screen of death on my Windows 10 Pro X64 system.
The culprit is amwrtdrv.sys.
Does anyone have any info on this?

USB BACK UP FREEZES THE WHOLE LAPTOP

I have win10, home, 6GB RAM
Using AOMEI backupper. professional
TRYING (Yes trying) to CLONE DISK

Have backed up to 1TB USB several times using different USB..even one from my neighbor
all backed up OK
after backup I can open USB,  see all the files from the clone...then after 1 minute the USB FREEZES "not responding"
Then after 10 secnds the whole of my system freezes nothing works
UNTIL I remove the USB then all the laptop goes back to normal
Insert the USB (its ONLY got AOMEI back up on it as its formatted) an BOOM freezes again
I have...uninstalled the program and reinstalled
disk management
cleaned using cmd diskpart
checked diisk
all comes back ok
use AOMEI....boom! disaster



Backupper Current Version Slows Computer to a Crawl

I have been a user of AOMEI Backupper for many years and have dozens of backups saved via the program; recently I bought the PRO version hoping to restore a drive image. But every time I open the program, everything else on my laptop slows to nothing, and menus are transparent, nothing is clickable and the entire (windows 10) system is unusable. I have to restart just to do anything.
That is very irritating. But it gets worse. Despite checking that my backups exist, and are correctly listed, when I click on any of them it says "image not found". I cannot restore or do anything.
I resorted to mounting the image I needed in Windows Exporer, just to try to save some of the missing data. This I could do, BUT, since the laptop has slowed to a snail's pace, trying to save anything to a new drive was near impossible. Even small folders took hours to relocate.
I am now at the point of giving up on this program entirely, since all my backups are unusable!!
Just to say - I completely and thoroughly uninstalled any previous AOMEI products (having saved the backups logs and tasks, obviously) and reinstalled the freshly bought program. BUT that changed nothing.
VERY disappointed and annoyed to have lost my backups, since they are "unavailable" even though Backupper finds them - and indeed they can be seen and accessed in Windows Explorer, so they DO exist.

Bug: Disk Backupper Freezes the System

Hi,
my system freezes completely while trying to make disc image backups from my system drive (full backup).
I use Windows 10 x64 on a lenovo ThinkPad T540p, and a Samsung SSD with basic disc layout.
The Problem is independent of using VSS or AOMEIs own alternative.
Backupper writes around 25 MB to the external (USB3) hard drive, and according to Windows Resource Monitor it reads a lot of data with maximum speed from system-ssd, but don't write anything to the target drive. After some minutes Backuper stops reading from source-ssd. The system drive is somehow completely locked for any writes, but system tasks reads data from the disc. Because of the ongoing write lock the system freezes and i need to make a hard reset. I am somehow perplexed.

File backup has Folders greyed an only enter file.
The dialog is hard to read because the text is very light blue on alight blue background.  These is no contrast!
Anyway I can see Add file clearly.  Why can't I select a folder?
How did I get here?

Clone SSD to m2 SSD not bootable

Hi,

I tryed cloning my SSD with my OEM to a new m2 SSD. After this im trying to boot using the new m2 SSD i get a error saying there is no OEM on there...

Any options?

Backup - Restore not working (Backupper Professional)

Dear Sir,

I have to create a disk image and then restore to another 10 HDD.

Details:
Source disk: 500GB UEFI / GPT disk with Windows 10 Install
Destination disks: 1TB GPT DISK (empty)

When I try to boot after restore, the windows can't boot (it starts with repairing and the blue screen - hiberfil.sys)
The windows on th source disk is normally shutted down (not hibarnated).

I think this is an easy opreation without difficulties, but it's not working.

Any idea?

unreliable backupper operation

Hello,
I'm an AOMEI Backupper user, and way back (probably, 2-3 yrs ago) I had all sorts of problems (various errors, e.g., 4110); although, generally, I could always do an "explore" of the image. After that, in the immediate past, the backupper worked flawlessly. However, yesterday after performing a backup, I again encountered the 4110 error (once again, the "explore" worked). At first I thought that the cause was a new version (6.3); so I reverted to 6.2; however, the 4110 persisted. Therefore, it would appear that the cause is within my computer. I took a look at the logs; but I could not make head or tail of it. Does anyone know how to interpret the logs?

Anyway when one looks at the help materials, one gets the comment "try the explore operation; if that works, then the backup *may* be OK". It must be admitted, that is not exactly a definitive advice!

I Have some serious Trouble. When i shutdown the machine, this message will be shown. I have installed AOMEI on four machines and this will happen on all four machines. but they will never shutdown. i had to do a complete restart.


what did i do wrong?

Clone HDD to SSD is very slow

Hello, I tried to clone my laptop HDD to SSD..

I tried both Disk Clone and System Clone

both of them run very slow while moving the data (approximately 1 MB/s) and time remaining tooks very long time 19hr~

is this the exact speed or not? how can I make it faster?

any helps/answers would be appreciated!

Windows 10 Updates Failing on all cloned drives

I have been using Backupper Pro now for several years.  We clone all of the drives in the systems we sell to our customers.

 But recently we have been having issues with a lot of the Dell desktop PCs that we clone not being able to install Windows Updates. 

 I probably have over 35 Dell desktop systems that we cloned the drives on that will not install Windows Updates past 1909.  Unless we disable windows updates they keep trying to install 2004 or the 20H2 every hour.

 I have been trying to find out why the updates have been failing and it seems to have to do with Windows not being able to change the BCD store.  The info I have found says that the cause of Windows not being able to edit the BCD is because the drive was cloned or imaged.

I have found just a few articles with suggested fixes but none have worked.  I really need help with these because I have several of these in the field that we need to have Windows updates turned on.  We can’t really format and reload these units either because they are mission critical systems in locations that are far from our office.

 When we clone these drives we have to use an Aomei USB boot drive (Aomei Boot Repair) that was given to me a few years ago by support because whenever we cloned a drive, it wouldn’t boot until we booted to this USB drive and told it to fix the MBR/DBR on the drive, and then it boots.  I’m wondering if this is the process that is causing the issues with Windows Updates.

 As for the errors I’m getting I had to run Setupdiag from Microsoft to get more information about why the updates were failing.  I have inserted the logs below from setupdiag that show you the errors when trying to update to 20H2 on one of the Dell computers.

Very Long Incremental Backup

So, I got this product yesterday afternoon and did a system backup, which completed in less than an hour, I believe.  I then did a file backup which took about 10 hours.  Not unreasonable.  I'd let it run overnight in order to complete, and in the morning I set up the program to do incremental backups of select folders.  It took over two hours just for the program to estimate the number of files.  Now, four hours after I began the incremental backup, it's at 23%.  I saw someone mention something about the checkbox to check the integrity of the backup upon completion.  That has not been checked.  I can tell you that very little changed in those files between last night's backup and today's incremental, so why so long?  If this rate is maintained, that will mean the incremental backup should take sixteen hours.  That's unacceptable.

Image Deploy. Image file damaged

Good morning.
I cannot solve the problem. I am trying to use image restore over the network (Image Deploy), but at the moment of opening the image I get an error: "Failed to open the backup file, which may has been damaged. Please retry to open it."
I was making a disk image and a system image but I get the same error. I did a validation (analysis) of the image and it was successful. I can restore this image through WinPE in the GUI functionality, but through Image Deploy I see an error, I cannot open this file image.
