I have used Backupper to clone a working dual boot system (Linux Mint 17.2 and Windows 10).  The clone appears to have copied everythng correctly including the Grub Boot Menu.  I can access Mint from that menu and it runs perfectly but when I clikc on Win 10 it wants to do a "repair" which then does not work; it just keeps repeating. My question is: How can I make the Win10 option in the Grub menu work to load Win 10 as it does on the drive that was cloned?

I own a MSI wind box DC111-064EU: this is a Mini PC, Intel Celeron 1037U, 2 GB, 64 GB ssd, win8.1

I upgraded to win10, installed some software and the installation is now 18 GB.

I removed the factory recovery partition to get some more space for the OneKey recovery partition.

I installed OneKey recovery v1.2 but it asked me to first install AIK3 from microsoft. I did, although this costs an extra 3 GB!

I started OneKey recovery and now it starts, but it gives an error while trying to make the required modifications for the booting process, last line showing something failed.

I think it has something to do with the bios of the MSI, it has a sort of 'protected' bios, also called 'windows 10 safe boot'. When I disable this windows 10 safe boot, I can't boot at all!

Luckily I can set the protection back and the computer boots in windows 10 again.

Is there a way to get OneKey recveory working on this machine?

I made my first backup and after that I tested the explorer image but i get this error:(Windows 10 AOMEI Backupper Technician)

Hello. My situation is complicated so hear me out.

I have two internal hard drives.

Drive One is a dual boot system which has Linux (Fedora) as it's main OS with two paritions (a) a 500 MB boot partiton and (b) a OS partition. The second OS is Windows 7 with a single partition.

Drive Two is a storage drive with a single partition formated NTFS but no OS.

What I wanted to do was copy my Linux paritions from Drive 1 to Drive 2 and dual boot my system that way (have each OS on a seperate drive). So I shrunk the partition on Drive 2 and then copied my two Linux partitions to the unallocated space. I then made both the primary partitions and made the boot partition active.

However, whenever I try to boot from Drive 2 my BIOS throws an error "Missing OS". I'm guessing that the reason for this is because the grub file no longer points to the correct place when looking for the MBR. However, AOMEI does not offer a way to rebuild the MBR for a Linux OS.

First, am I correct in assuming that the missing OS error is because of a grub problem? Second, does anyone know how to fix it in this situation?

Hi, I am testing Partition Assistant Freeware and I am wondering if it is possible to migrate my OS to a SSD from a larger underused HDD partition. Specifically, can I migrate Win7 OS from my old 460GB MBR partition with only 170BG used space to my new 240GB SSD?

I had a previous version of Backupper on my Windows 7 machine. I uninstalled it before trying to install the new version. As part of the uninstallation I restarted the computer as instructed. Next I tried to install the new version, but after the first screen or two of the setup it displays a message saying "Setup has detected a restart required to perform the uninstall. Please restart and try again." I restarted again...and again....and again. Every time I try to install the new version it gives me that same message and won't let me continue the installation. I have also tried re-installing the old (2012) version to see if that would work, but it gives me the same message.

What can I do?

Despite having bought into Backupper pro I can't get to clone from existing Windows 7 HDD to a Seagate SSHD twice the capacity. I did it once then ran it when W10 was offered which proved fatal so wiped the Seagate SSHD. Now it doesn't seem to be accepted by Backupper. Have I wiped the formatting perhaps? Does anyone out there know a way to sort this please?

I know this is a pretty simple idea, but following the video on this website I still can't seem to get more space on the partition I select.  I have a photo and I am trying to allocate more space onto my C:OS partition.  Can someone walk me through what I'm doing wrong?  I'm basically following the the video from this link... http://www.disk-partition.com/res/resize-partition-windows-server-free.html 

No matter what I do I feel like the free space goes to the far right (of the DATA partition) and I'm unable to apply that storage to C:OS.  Can someone please help a beginner?

I have a W2012 R2 server running AOMEI for server. Last week I installed a new server antivirus (ESET) and since I have not been able to receive backups notifications via email. The send test email returns error but it does work when the antivirus is disabled. Has anyone managed to make this work?. I don't know where I should touch the antivirus configuration to allow AOMEI Backupper to avoid the control.
