backupper technician - issues on win8.1
After installing backupper technician plus ed. on several of my win8.1 machines I started noticing strange behaviour. First my desktop icons got a UAC-overlay although my UAC-slider setting under "user accounts" remained in the "off-position".
Then; on every restart, if you enter the start menu shortly after and click on the search icon located in the upper right corner, the whole system freezes for minutes, rendering your machine unusable for that period of time; just to exit to the desktop afterwards.
...definately not behaviour I would classify as "features" in a program marketing against big enterprises. These issues SERIOUSLY need attention. As of today, I've uninstalled the program from all computers.

Multi Windows OS Backups
Hello,
since i don't know where to put this question, since it's my first here, i'll post it here and see what happens
So my question is,
i have recently installed the free version of AOMEI backup software, with the intention, naturally, to backup all my partitions
I see you can make a system backup, but then i wonder. suppose you have more than one windows operation system on the same system, how do you make a backup( individually of every system) while ensuring they remain bootable. i've seen you can backup both the EFI drive alongside the Operation system that currently runs but how do you backup the others without overwriting the EFI backup you made when backuping the current OS?
Is this clear? it's i bit complicated, i know, all my OS'es are Windows 8.1. each is used for different actions, so when you were wondering....

Information code 312 from Backupper 2.2 free
Hi,
The last week I have been testing Backupper 2.2 free to evaluate before deciding to buy a heigh end version of AOMEI products for my 3 computers at home.
I have a Qnap P-912 II NAS, and backups has been working fine and checing the backups has also been verified, so I was real pleased!
However, I decided to test the backup by using the Image Preview and it hooked up back nicecly to the NAS (without any reboot) and I could choose todays backup and choose the the non-bootable part of the backed up C drive of that computer and it says:
Image Prreview is initializing
Information Code:312
Unknown Error
and then attempts an image reload, which gewts the same error.
What is happening and is there something I have done or somekind of bug?

Disk One and Two
I have a terrabyte hard drive. I had to wipe out and reload windows 8 and updated to 8.1. During the install windows created Disk One of a 120 gig and installed the OS there Leaving only 30 gig left on Disk One. I have 900 gig of unused space on Disk two that I want on disk one. Otherwise every thing I load or store I have to direct to partition on Disk Two and causes some installation problems.
How can I put all this available space on Disk One?

Issues with AOMEI Backupper Professional Trial
Hello, I have some issues with the professional version 2.2. I have emailed tech support and had some of my questions answered but others started and never finished.
List of issues (with AOMEI Backupper Professional Edition 2.2:
-Email notifications do not work
--So i tried without checking the "Dont use AOMEI SMTP servers" and that didn't work. No biggie, ISP's block 25 all the time.
--Then i tried 2 seperate smtp accounts of my own, neither worked: one was gmail where I followed settings exactly regarding smtp server, port (465 and 587), TLS encryption, full email as username and exact password. The second was dynadot which had no encryption on port 1025. Neither worked either it would take a few min to timeout and error or error immediately. I also entered the new settings and clicked ok then reopened the GUI and notification section and tried again to no avail.
-Command line backup engine does not work
--I have emailed support on this issue twice with no resolution. When you do any back from any drive to any drive on my computer Windows 8.1 64 bit, the AOMEI command line exe gives the generic windows "has stopped working message". I have attached the same log files I sent to email support with one of the key lines being [diskinfo.h(451): Failed to init GPT style table.] I have verified syntax multiple times from simple to complex, admin rights, elevated command prompt, etc. Tech support asked for a crash dump file, but it doesn't create one, seems to fail before creating one but at least gives parts of a log file as attached.
Example Backup Command Line:
AMBackup.exe /b new /t system /d "S:\sys"
AMBackup /b new /t disk /s 4 /d "S:\Disk" /n "Test1" /c 1 /e "s30usl3k" /r 0
-No way to merge incrementals into full backups from the command line
--Just like it says, this is not so much an error but hopefully a feature to see soon. I'd be happy if the regular command line worked as well.
-When the backup fails, the scheduled backup never stops, it just hangs with the box in the lower-right hand corner of the screen prompting user action.
--I see no way to change the behaviour so that if the backup fails it logs it, sends an email and ends the scheduled task. The main problem I have is that it never stops the scheduled task until I touch it at that point. At least not in my testing where Ive left that box up for an hour without it closing itself down.
-I see no options to have the software run a program after the backup is finished. Backup exec, acronis etc all have this feature while AOMEI does not
-I plan on using this as part of a cloud backup function. I need my cloud SFTP to run after the program finishes. I have written a program to do this for me after it believes backup has run but its much cleaner to have the AOMEI run a program upon backup task finishing (failed or not).
-Also the UEFI GPT PE restore problem

--I cant use this for server 2012 or windows 8 if this is still a problem. I know the workaround but it'd be nice to work straight out of the box.
I would love to use this program for my clients as part of my cloud backup solution offering as it is attractively priced but these issues must be resolved. At least the email notification and command line not working. I have found these issues on my Windows 8.1 64 bit desktop and my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.
I have not tried the beta, I will try that next and post back here to see if anything has changed. If we can't get these worked out then Acronis is probably the next best option.

simple question: i make some incremental backup and naw i have 10 files to check interity of image. I can check the last file with the guarantee the all backup set are all right or i must check single file one by one? than k you very mauch for reply...

Changing Destination Drive
Thanks for AOMEI Backupper Pro.
I have searched, but I can't readily find information on how to edit the destination drive of my nscheduled back-ups. I can edit source information - I can't simply change destination drive F:\... to drive H:\... on six scheduled back-ups.
Sorry if this has been answered 100 times before. I'm using Backupper Pro 2.0.1

Can't remove mounted drives after Explore Image
Hi
I am using Backupper v2.2 and Windows 8.1 and tried to use the Explore Image feature. The feature mounted 2 drives (E:/ and F:/) to explore the images. These didn't work (when you click on them it says Device not ready).
Also I can't remove them now from Windows Explorer.
I can see them in Explorer. http://i.imgur.com/yDjmKir.png
but I can't see them in Disk Management to remove them.
Also your instructions say you can go back to Explore Image in Backupper and it will give the option to dismount the drives however it doesn't give this option, instead it offers to mount the images to drives G: and H:.
How can I dismount these drives?

OneKey Backup problem.
Hello,
I can't make a backup due to a driver problem (i think).
Here's what happens:
1. I connect a hdd via an external hard rive enclosure.
2. I open AOMEI OneKey.
3. I click "OneKey System Backup"
4. I select the "Backup system to other location" option and click next.
5. I click browse, go to the E:\ drive (this is the hdd location) and click open.
6. I click "Start Backup" and then when the pop up box which tells me the computer will be required to rebooted into Windows PE shows up i click Yes.
7. The laptop i'm making the recovery from restarts after OneKey is done preparing the machine.
8. Upon restart, after the windows logo i see the screen which is attached as the photo "Screen 1" and then when i press enter i see "Screen 2"
9. Pressing enter on the "windows Setup [EMS Enabled]" option takes me back to "Screen 1"
10. On "Screen 1" i can press esc to boot into normal startup.
I get this when i choose to create the backup on the C:\ drive as well so i don't think it's a problem with the external hdd.
Is there a fix for this?

I started AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro Edition 5.6 twice, in Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit, and Event Viewer shows this error each time:

How to View Backup Files in Backupper Pro 2.2?
I just upgraded fro Windows8 to 8.1. In 8.0 I had no problem in viewing the files and folders backed up. In 8.1 all I have are files with a .adi extension and cannot open them. How do I view the backup? I know the files contain the backups because they have over 79,000,000 KB in them. The .adi file is associated with Backupper.

AOMIE PE Builder bootable media blue screen
Hello,
When I boot with AOMIE PE Builder 1.4 bootable media it finishes with a solid blank blue screen. I am running Windows 8.1
I have created ISO, bootable CD and bootable thumbdive. All three produce the same result.
The ISO I have booted with in VM Workstation under various machine settings along with the CD and thumbdrive and all produce the same blue screen.
Creating a simple windows PE bootable disk works fine but that is not what I want. MiniTool bootable media also works fine but that is linux based and not as elegant. Everthing needs to work before I purchase software. Looking forward to your solution.

When I try to explore an image in BackUpper, I am receiving the error, "Information
Code:305. Unknown Error." This image is stored on a remote disk. I
have checked it for errors and there are none. When I transfer the
image to the local server and then try to explore the image, I can
successfully explore it. Any ideas what could be going on here?

upd: as i see, in ampe.iso - boot.wim file msahci.sys is 0kb.

Backupper Free version issues with mapped drives for backup location
I am trying to setup a full boot drive backup that wil be stored on a mapped drive on another system. When I go to choose the destination it doesn't even show my mapped drives as a choice at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times with no different results. I can go to the mapped drive and write and copy and create folders no issues but the program won't even see any mapped drives.
