A PITA to sign up here. Complaints about lost backup files; how to find

$

I THOUGHT I found a good backup program but I see now you cannot move backup files around on your drive or AOMEI will lose them. And there is no file search mechanism to find the blank entries on the opening page because backupper cannot search for the file? What's up with that. Just about every program I use you can search and locate files, but apparently not with something as important as backing up your DATA!!! Has this been fixed? No reason to pay for AOMEI if it hasn't.

Many complaints here from others that AOMEI cannot locate backups. So I ask you How do I put a GOOD backup file on the main screen so I can make an incremental backup? Cannot find any search mechanism in the program to add files to the main screen.

A PITA to join this because you first use that BS  captcha and THEN you make people wait to be confirmed. You want new customers or NOT? Not important to you?

new BIOS without Legacy support with NVMe will not connect to network

I am using Image Deploy, and I have added the Dell Optiplex 7080 NIC drivers (Intel I29-LM family) to the PE. There is no legacy boot mode in this new Dell BIOS. When it tries to connect via Iv4 i get no boot device found on the system, and the image deploy screen displays the ip address of the system.

I'm trying to create bootable media and getting an error.

The error says to check FAQ, but I don't see any FAQ on this specific issue.  I first checked to see that my computer is in legacy bios mode, selected that option (WINPE)  and to download the WINPE (after having tried the other - way - because I already have it installed...)  Not getting anywhere.

Backupper - switch disk off between backups

$

Hello,
to avoid ransomware attacks, a general recommendation is to disconnect the backup disk and switch it on only when running the backup. When you do this e.g. for a daily backup, you need something to remind the user to switch the disk on. The normal means in Aomei would seem to use the "pre-command" which calls a batch file, producing a message box "swtich disk on", and define that the backup task shall start only when the batch program is finished (which is the case when the disk is detected by the system).
However:
When I use the pre-command to switch the disk on, the backupper will always do full backups, although the backup is defined as differential. When I keep the backup disk always switched on, then correct differential backups are produced.
Ony one an Idea how to avoid this problem? (I have already sent a lot of screenshots / logfiles / descriptions to the support, but at the end did not get any reply).

Hi all,

I use migrate OS to SSD wizard to transfer existing window 10 pro from 256 ssd (in existing notebook) to new 512g ssd (connected by usb-c). I find that the new ssd is not bootable after install new 512 SSD into notebook.
I use Computer Management -> Disk Management to find that new SSD System partition (via usb-c) is not bootable (only show Primary) but old SSD (in notebook) System partition shows "Boot, Crash Dump, Primary Partition).

Do anyone know which step I did get wrong? or should I try another another step to do it?
Thanks a lot

error while loading

I'll tell you my story, how Windows10 stopped loading.
I wanted to split an existing disk into 2
there was 180 GB of free space.
by means of windows10 at first I was allowed for a new disk 2GB
I turned off the protection and began to allow 7GB
I wanted a disk for installing an android on it for about 50GB
then somehow he disconnected something and got to 15GB by means of Windows10, this was certainly not enough.
climbed further behind programs that share the disk
first  did not like MiniTool Partition Wizard
then another
AOMEI Partition Assistant on it and stopped like cut off a piece of 50 or 60 GB
then I rebooted and that's it, I suffer for 3 days I can not load Windows10
gives out a blue screen with the inscription
Recovery
Your PC / Device needs to be repaired
An unexpected error has occurred
Error code: 0xc000007b
I ask for help or advice where to dig further, what to punch?

AOMEI Partition Assistant - access failure error?

I have a problem with AOMEI Partition Assistant. The program was working fine and now an error is displaying that will not allow access to the program.  The error is " Sorry, no disk found. Some hard disk drives may be locked by other programs, which caused the access failure. Please close the programs and try again!"
I have tried rebooting the system, reinstalled the program, tried system restore (before the error occurred) nothing seems to work to clear this error. Any ideas please?

I've just downloaded the newest free version, and notice that in the File Backup it's not picking up my .zip files.  Is there a way to include them in the backup?

aomei backupper "explore image" "is not accessible" "the device is not ready" on Windows 10

Hi Everyone, I don't have a question but I did find an obscure solution to something that the support team should be able to provide immediately instead of going back and forth 20 times and still no solution. I want to share for all of those people out there that get so frustrated with this software just trying to access there critical data. The point of a backup software is to have the confidence to gain access to it at anytime. The title says it all and the solution was to "use IP addresses instead of named network locations." That's it. I simply gave up a couple of months ago because I was so damn frustrated and thought I would try it again, low and behold, fixed!

A plea to Aomei, please have this pointed out in the "Explore Image" wizard. That would have been so much easier and saves so much time instead of support saying, "try another computer" or  "restore the partition" or some other useless suggestion.

Note to self... whenever thinking of purchasing a backup product that has great reviews, first rummage thru the discussion boards first.

HELP please, Backupper failed

Hi friends, thanks for any help.  All I wanted to do was upgrade the SDXC card in my wife's Android phone from a 64GB to a 200GB.  I think I could probably just have copied the files from the old to the new card, but I wanted to be careful so that any apps and programs on it would work.  I saw an AOMEI add that said Backupper would do this, so I tried it.  Both cards were formatted in exFAT, and I connected them both with SD card readers on my Windows computer.  BUT when Disk Clone was done, it had created a 64GB partition on the new 200GB card and leaving the rest of the space unallocated, which is not what I wanted or what the AOMEI ad said it would do.  THEN, tying to use Disk Manager to "extend" the primary partition with the unallocated space, I found the "extend" option grayed out so it couldn't be used.  (Even though the unallocated space was immediately following the partition Backupper created).  I read more AOEMI information which suggested I should download and use Partition Assistant, so I tried that, the free version.  BUT I found the "merge" option grayed out on this program.  So I am stuck.  I don't know if I should format the new card and start over.  If so, I'm not sure if I should format it on the phone or on the Windows computer, and if the format will allow me to use the whole storage space or not.  If I did that, could I simply copy the files from the original 64GB SDXC card to the new one?  I'm not sure what to do about the System Volume Information folder if there is one on both the old and the new formatted card.  You see how confused I am.  I thought this would be simple.  Can anyone help me?  Thank you so much.

I have the "Backup and sync from Google" application installed however, Google Drive isn't an option in the Cloud destinations under "Basic Sync", only Onedrive is listed.

Does AOMEI support the newer "Backup and Sync" from Google?

Windows 8.1 64-Bit MBR infinite blue screen loop after making and backup image and then restore

I have full backups and 7 incremental Windows 8.1 64 Bits MBR and once finishing the cycle of incremental I use Auslogics Disk Defrag to defragment the hard drive.
The backup does normally, but when restoring arrives at the Windows logo and just after infinite blue screen loop.
To have Windows running again restore the system to a backup before the backupper 6.2 version. I also thought it was a hardware problem, however I have a Windows ToGo testing and as it normally went up this the first time it gave lopp infinity.

PS. Detail is that I return Windows in a working state with .ISO backupper 6.2. Oh! I did same test on Windows 10 UEFI and everything went well.

If any user can perform this layout I thank you.

Thanks

Aomei Backupper Std Windows 8.1 Blue Screens on reboot

I have been using Aomei Backupper for many years.
4 days ago I updated to v 6.2.
2 days ago I rebooted the computer, which on restart, blue screened, going in to an endless loop of reboot / bluescreen.
In the end I had to do a complete refresh from disk to get back up and running (all repair attempts failed)
After refresh, I installed an old backup (2 years old) to speed up software reinstall. After updating some software, rebooting caused the same problem.
On the third attempt, I narrowed it down to Aomei Backupper.

Steps to Cause Failure:-
Windows 8.1
Update Aomei Backupper to latest version (6.2)
Let installer Open Program on closing
Immediately Close Program
Reboot Computer
Computer will no longer boot into Windows

I have not had a program destroy Windows like this since Windows 98 and have now removed Backupper from this computer.

This did not happen on my Windows 10 computer when I updated that.
