Corrupted Data after back up.....

Greetings,

After backing up a 1 TB hard drive onto two 4TB hard drives using this software, I lost so much; I don't know what to do.  I lost 28,000 pictures from a trip to India, over 8,000 mp3's.  That is just some of what I lost.  I have tried disk drill, I have tried everything to recover these files, only to have given up hope. 

I have no way to recover all of this; I am lost without hope.  The 1 TB hard drive was given to a friend after I verified the files were there and working, now on both 4 TB hard drives, the data is corrupted.  Same folders, Same files, at the same time. They are not in Raid 1; they were never in a Raid.  I just used this program to back them up, and they got corrupted. 

I can see the files, I can see their sizes, all correct, but I can't open them, I can't do anything with them.   The file names are all correct.  I just lost all of it.

But, some files in other parts of the drive are fine, no issues.  I don't get it.  It just randomly failed.  Now I could take this if it happened to 1 drive, but two drives?  Same files? And only common thing among them was that I used this program to back up the data.

So now, I am about to send off my hard drive to a company, that at the low end will cost $600.00 to try and recover the data.  I don't know what to do, just be careful backing up your data with this program.

Creating Bootable Media Hangs at 98$ - Windows 7

Hello,

I am unable to create a bootable DVD with UEFI.  It hangs at 98% completion.  The legacy bootable media is worse as it hangs at 85%,

I need the bootable DVD to read backup on GPT files system on a portable drive.

Bug: Disk Backupper Freezes the System

Hi,
my system freezes completely while trying to make disc image backups from my system drive (full backup).
I use Windows 10 x64 on a lenovo ThinkPad T540p, and a Samsung SSD with basic disc layout.
The Problem is independent of using VSS or AOMEIs own alternative.
Backupper writes around 25 MB to the external (USB3) hard drive, and according to Windows Resource Monitor it reads a lot of data with maximum speed from system-ssd, but don't write anything to the target drive. After some minutes Backuper stops reading from source-ssd. The system drive is somehow completely locked for any writes, but system tasks reads data from the disc. Because of the ongoing write lock the system freezes and i need to make a hard reset. I am somehow perplexed.

Program can't find existing backup

I changed the location of my backup on my ext. HD and now Aomei Backupper can't find the file any more. In German it would say "Die Sicherungsaufgaben können nicht gelesen werden, weil die Image Datei nicht vorhanden ist, oder der Zugriff darauf verweigert wird. Wenn die Sicherungsaufgabe noch nie ausgeführt wurde, müssen Sie zunächst die Sicherungsaufgabe ausführen". I already had this problem longer ago, but I can't remember, how I solved it. Somewhere was a possibility to show Aomei the new location. Could someone please help me out.

What options should i choose for my needs?

Hi, I want to make an exact backup of my C: drive/system drive with all apps, settings and files as of the point when I make the backup/clone. I have a few programs which are installed on my C: drive, but have file directories on my other drives...mainly my music software. So need to have all of those entries to be recalled too, whenever I make a restore.

I also would also love to be able restore my drive from a USB, if my system gets corrupted and I'm unable to access windows.

I'm a bit confused as to what option to choose and whether or not I need to buy the full version to do this. What options do I need to pick to do make a perfect backup of my C: drive?

It's been about 2 hours since I paid for the Partition Assistant upgrade.  I was under the impression I would get an email with upgrade details.  I have a timely project and was hoping it would come quickly.  Anyone know how long it takes for this process?

AOMEI Backupper fails to create bootable media

I have two computers, one with Windows 10 and another with Window XP.

A few hours ago I have installed AOMEI backupper in the brand new Windows 10 computer, the installation was fine, I was able to create a bootable USB media, I restarted from that USB drive and I did backup the main HDD without any issue but when I rebooted the computer and tried to create another bootable USB media, it does nothing just after I selected the USB drive. Since then I am not able to create any bootable media (USB drive, export ISO, etc.), once I have selected the options it goes directly to the Utilities menu.

The Windows XP computer has installed Backupper 3.2 so I upgraded to the new version, 4.0.6. Now this computer is not able to create bootable media (nor USB nor ISO images).


Thank you for your help.

P.S. In both computers I have downloaded the WinPE enviroment as requested but it makes no difference.

About restoring to different computer

I used the trial version and saved a clone to an external hard drive. I may want to restore it to a different computer. That feature is not available on the trial version.  I have just purchased the Pro version. Do I have to run another back up using the Pro version to restore it to another computer>

Dynamic Disk Manager Server Edition

All goes well, until it says you must reboot to complete. If you do this the server dutifully restarts but no changes have been made. The program does not restart by itself, it as if nothing has happened. Has anyone else had this problem ?

Backupper is not keeping backups in number sequence automatically

It used to give the next numeric number in sequence to a new backup. But it has  stopped dong that. Now I have to do it manually.

recovery boot device

Tried twice to create a boot CD/DVD. It runs fine up to 99% and then loops. Message I get is program not responding when checking. Running on window 10 selecting "Legacy" then "windows 10 PE" options.  Not  usre what is going on. I thought tis was going to be simple. Any help is appreciated.

Installing new laptop hard drive

I need to install a new hard drive on my laptop. I want to create an image using system backup. I understand that I need to make a boot disk and create a system image preferrably on an external hard drive. I just need a walk through of the steps once those are created. If I boot using the disk with the new hard drive do I also have the external hard drive plugged in during the boot? Then how do I access the image and install it on the new hard drive? Do I need to remove any other files from the external hard drive besides the image? Is it true that files on the desktop will not be a part of the image?

My full backup ran fine on the first date I used AOMEI


The first incremental backup worked fine


I am now trying to do an incremental backup and get this message:


Backup is initializing...
The specified volume 0 hasn't been found or has been changed.
The specified volume 1(C:) hasn't been found or has been changed.
Information Code:4123
All partitions that need to be backed up have not been found.


My source hard drive is working just fine.


The destination drive seems to be working fine and can be explored.


Please explain what is happening and how to resolve the situation.

Greetings - I have purchased Backupper and have it installed on 2 P.C's. I recently purchased a new P.C. and would like to add Backupper to it but it is not registering since the limit is 2 Licenses.  Can I delete one install and install Backupper on my new P.C.?

does not support gpt removable device: WinToGo

whenever I try to create a windows to go external usb hdd I get the message "does not support gpt removable device". I have 4 different external USB hdd, not USB flash drives that I have tried and all get the same message. they range in size from 250Gb to 2tb. All are USB 3.0. 
I addition If I plug in a USB flash drive, it doesn't even see it. I have tried 16,32,64 and 128GB from different manufacturers and none are seen.
I don't think your WintoGo feature works. 
I have windows 10 Pro  Build 17763.rs_5_release.180914-1434
TIA for any help or assiatance you may be able to provide.
