I installed win7 on a new build and in order to used the full 4TB drive I had to convert the MBR to a GPT. I have 4 partitions three are showing the correct size. One has a size of 718GB which is showing in the program but it only has a capacity of 348GB ... is there a way to get the program to bring it back up to it's full capacity of 718GB? How do manually check my backup image integrity?
I recently tried to backup my file and then i was hit by an code: 4104 invalid image. So searched the problem and found this:

Backup schedule
Kindly help me I installed AOMEI with admin
account then try to using in user account in windows 7 make schedule but its not taking
backup as per schedule its stop on backup schedule time with pop windows "AOMEI Backupper can only run under Administrator privileges". then i do it manually because its asking
password of administrator every time i do not want to type password again and again of admin.Kindly help me how aomei can make backup

AOEMI Backupper - Error 4160(failed to open file) on Files Backup
I've just started having this error occur when running a File Backup task. It has been working fine for over 6 months. The only significant change has been I've just upgraded from Windows 10 1803 to 1809.
The task runs successfully, backing up all files and creating the output file on my NAS until right at the end when this error occurs and the NAS file is deleted. It's not a source file issue as I temp removed the last few files from the source directory and the job still failed with the same issue. I've also completely recreated the backup task but it makes no difference.
FYI, I have a System backup task as well that runs successfully on the same PC to the same NAS so don't believe this is a PC or NAS issue per se. I've also tried the same backup with a local HDD as the target and it also fails. I'm running v4.6.1.
I see a number of earlier issues in the forum with the same error but different specific's to my problem. Anyone have any thoughts on how I can resolve this?

Surface Laptop Backup Issue
I've been using AOMEI for several months after recommending we adopt it in our production environment for imaging systems. So far so good, I am using it to deploy master images to our client Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablets. We just recently picked up the new Microsoft Surface Laptop, and it has presented me with an unforeseen problem. When I attempt to back up the C: partition (OS), I am getting the error message:
'Information code 4122: Failed to get bitmap'
I'm not sure why this occurs as most of the hardware between the Surface Pro and the Surface Laptop is identical. Do you guys have a fix for this, or any suggestions? I appreciate any help you can give, as I have dozens of the laptops to configure and would prefer to do it by imaging and not manually. I am able to image the partition with Clonezilla, but this is not ideal as I much prefer AOMEI's interface and I don't want my NAS cluttered with different image formats. Thanks in advance.

Backups are MUCH LARGER than the space used on the drive
I have a client who I recommended getting this software (Backupper Pro) to do backups. He has a drive that is 900GB, but is only using 82GB, and an additional partition with 23GB on it. So a total of 100 to 110 GB of space should be all he needs so I got him a 1TB SSD to do a system backup. However the system backup was 350GB, then we just tried a partition backup. Same thing. Please help as I would love to use this software. Otherwise I would have to look for another solution. He's on Windows 10 (upgraded from Win 7) and his drive are all defragmented.
I have noticed however that his drive is encrypted with Bitlocker... if that makes any difference?

AOMEI PE builder can't find downloaded WinPE files and can't get files from the web

The DownloadPath.ini file specified "C:\Windows\TEMP\PB Download\x86", so I unzipped the WinPE zip file to that directory, retaining the directory structure in the zip file. I then started PE builder again but it seems to ignore the files I downloaded and proceeds to try and get them from the internet, which fails.
I tried copying the unzipped WinPE files to a different directory and changing the DownloadPath.ini file accordingly, but I got the same problem.
I installed AOMEI PE builder version 2.0 on my Win 10 system, and the first time I ran it, when it started to initialise the WinPE creating environment, it would not download files from the internet. Log shows:

I also clicked on the question mark at the end of that line, which said that the files should be unzipped to the directory specified in "C:\Program Files\AOMEI PE Builder 2.0\DownloadPath.ini".

Onekey Backup - archive password does not protect against overwrite.
Setting password for the backup seems futile, as the program allows anyone who boots into Onekey at startup to make a new backup, overwriting the previous one - without being prompted for password..
This makes the password function useless, when trying to protect workstations against alterations.

je suis novice sur le produit et je l ai installé sur un PC vers un NAS en réseau, tous est OK, Sur le deuxième PC, j'ai suivie la même procédure, mais si je veux faire une sauvegarde, je vois bien le NAS, le dossier que j'ai crée pour le 2eme PC, mais backuper me demande une adresse email +mot de passe, je me suis servie des première infos du 1er PC, cela ne fonctionne pas. Faut il crée une seconde adresse avec un mot de passe différant.

Information Code 4118 while cloning bitlocker encrypted SSD with Backupper v4.5.2 Standard
Thank you so much for providing this excellent free of charge software.
I have been using it for several years without any significant problems.
Recently the system SSD on my company notebook has been bitlocker encrypted.
Ever since then I can no longer clone it to an identical SSD neither over eSATA nor over USB3.
I am trying to clone from windows (not with a bootable medium).
The cloning process seems to start but after a few seconds it terminates with this error message.
The error text says (translated from German): "not enough space for temporary files available"
I can't find any description of this error code on your website.
My SSD is 500GB with only 200GB used
There are 8GB of RAM available.
The notebook is running on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64Bit
I would be thankful for any suggestions to solve this problem.

Merge or Resize C Drive with Unallocated Space (make larger)
Just made a clone of a 1 TB HDD to a 1 TB SSD (same size). It was successful. However, both drives have 700 MB unallocated space. I would like to make the C Drive (that is where Documents are) larger and take advantage of all that Unallocated space. Can I just merge C drive with the Unallocated Space? I do see that option when I right-click C drive, merge, and the "merge partitions" pop-up window shows. I see checkboxes next to C (pre-selected as target disk) and the "Unallocated" space. Will that work? Another option I am considering is making a simple partition from the Unallocated space of around 400 GB, leaving approx. 300 unallocated - in case I need it for the future. Do I just create the partition then merge C drive w/that new partition? If I click "re-size" option for C drive, the newly formed partition or Unallocated space is not next to C (or contiguous) to allow me to use that new partition to make C larger. Thx for any help!

Backupper Pro amwrtdrv.sys causes system crash
I've been experiencing frequent systems crashes when Backupper Pro starts (and sometimes just after it finishes).
I'm using Backupper Pro 4.6.2 with Windows 10 Pro 1809 at current service level (KB4489899)
I have a Partition Incremental backup scheduled for 04:35 every day, using the AOMEI scheduler service.
Every other day a system crash, followed by reboot, occurs just after the backup starts, and the backup never completes. I suspect that the first backup after a reboot works, but subsequent backups fail, although I haven't had a chance to test this theory.
The WhoCrashed utility reports this crash is caused by the amwrtdrv.sys driver, shown below:
On Sat 23/03/2019 04:36:10 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
This was probably caused by the following module: amwrtdrv.sys (amwrtdrv+0x14D2)

Possibly not related, but I notice that the two versions of amwrtdrv.sys on my system have a slight difference. Both have a Created/Accessed date of 23 February 2019 (when I installed 4.6.2) and both have a Modified date of 01 September 2017.
But C:\Windows\System32\amwrtdrv.sys is 38,320 bytes
Whereas C:\Program FIles (x86)\AOMEI Backupper\driver\i386\amwrtdrv.sys is 34,864 bytes
Any, positive, suggestions?

VSS errors on System Backups
I always get 4 VSS errors when doing a System Backup as shown below:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error querying for the IVssWriterCallback interface. hr = 0x80070005, Access is denied.
. This is often caused by incorrect security settings in either the writer or requestor process.
Context:

Can I restore to a new/different drive with Aomei?
Hi all,
My SanDisk SSD failed less than 3 months outside of it's warranty period. Very frustrating as I have contacted them and they will not make an exception.
Can I restore the system backup I made with Aomei to a new SSD of the same size but of a different brand?
If so, how would I go about it? Do I need to format the drive first? Or will the restore process format it?

Clone HDD will not boot
I am trying to use AOEMI Backupper to create a bootable hard drive by cloning a bootable hard drive. I have an internal 40 GB IDE HDD that I want to clone to another internal 40 GB IDE HDD so that the second drive is bootable (like the first drive is). I have the source and target hard drives connected via external enclosures to a PC running Windows 7 and Backupper Standard 4.0.6. (This is not the PC where the source HDD is normally installed. I am only using this other PC in order to perform the clone operation.) In Backupper I have used the Disk Clone function in the Clone tab.
Backupper completes the clone operation successfully. The target drive mounts in Windows and I can see all the files that were cloned from the source drive. However, when I install the target drive in the original PC, that PC will not boot. On screen I see a message that says "Insert a system disk and press any key" (or something like that).
On my first clone attempt, I did not choose the Sector by Sector option in the Disk Clone. I made a second clone attempt and I did choose the Sector by Sector option. Backupper also completed my second clone attempt successfully. Unfortunately, the second clone attempt would not boot the original PC either.
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Selecting the C: drive (disk 1) was easy. (The C: drive is an SSD.)
I'm having problems selecting my internal RAID disk drive, J: (disk 3.) It doesn't show up in the list of drives.

Unable to restore files
I am new to Backupper. I purchased the server version to backup an old 2003 server that still runs an app we cannot install on a new server OS. The backup process completes but we have two issues.
1) Mounting the backup image does not do anything. No drive is mounted.
2) Attempting to restore files only provides the option to restore the entire volume to a disk. What backup method should we be using in order to restore individual files?
