Backupper file sync failed, error 201 - Not enough disk space

I have had file sync set up for about 5 days, everything was going just fine. But suddenly today I'm getting a "201 Not enough space in disk" error. The target disk is 1 Tb, and has nearly 850gb free.

I have it set up to sync every hour, every sync attempt failed today, about 8 attempts total. All failed attempts show the same "201" error. I just ran a manual sync, it ran just fine. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening, and how I can prevent it for recurring?

Bootable media issues

Windows 10
Thru the Backupper program I attempted to create a CD bootable media.   99% complete and the CD ejects.  So never got to the point to select "Finish" sure enough when I attempt to reboot the PC to the disk I get an error msg (device not found I think).

I then created a bootable media using a USB.  Success so I thought.  But tried a restore within the program anyways and at one point message said to create a bootable media.  I thought odd, so I re-booted the PC and finally the Aomei menu showed up.
So clearly the USB works.

So then I can't perform a Restore without booting first via the USB?
I thought we are able to restore with Windows up and running and running the Backupper program.

Beyond frustrated trying to make a bootable USB....

I've tried everything I know and I've searched this forum, but I absolutely can't figure out how to make a bootable usb drive!
It's a brand new AMD Ryzen build computer, with brand new Win10 install AND NOTHING ELSE!
I installed AOMEI Backupper tried to make my SanDisk Ultra 64GB bootable, but it always stops at around 70%.  By stop, I mean the whole creation dialog box disappears!  No errors mentioned... no nothing.

I've tried Legacy & UEFI.

I then got excited when I read up on the WinPE creator thing, I downloaded and installed it tried to make a bootable USB in that.  It downloaded a ton of stuff and I was drooling at the thought that this might work and right there at the end of the process, it just disappears!!!!!!

It at least completed the Linux bootable USB, but my system says there was no operating system on it when I tried to boot from it.

PS. - I noticed in some YouTube videos that it seemed that every video had a dialog box saying something like " This software has determined that this computer is able to make a bootable USB drive" (or something close to that).  I  NEVER GOT THAT SCREEN in my experience.

Anybody have a clue because I sure don't.

Thanks for any help!!!

AOMEI Partition Assistant - access failure error?

I have a problem with AOMEI Partition Assistant. The program was working fine and now an error is displaying that will not allow access to the program.  The error is " Sorry, no disk found. Some hard disk drives may be locked by other programs, which caused the access failure. Please close the programs and try again!"
I have tried rebooting the system, reinstalled the program, tried system restore (before the error occurred) nothing seems to work to clear this error. Any ideas please?

clone 250gb from a 120 ssd

At present i am using a 120Gb ssd containing win10 with a 2Tb "d" drive containing all the other programs.
I want to change the 120Gb with a 250Gb ssd.
If i clone (using aomei backupper standard) the new drive using a docking station, after swapping over the "C" drives will it show in "This PC" as the original 120Gb or the new 250Gb ssd.
Or would i be better with a clean install of win10 then a restore using "system backup or Disk backup".
Or is there a better way?.

would we only need 1 licence or a licence for each of the 400 PCs we want to image?

backing up to a shared drive with backupper

trying to backup a laptop to a shared drive via command prompt.

This laptop does not have backupper installed so I open cmd prompt and want to launch Backupper via a networked PC which has it installed.

do I 'net use' to the Backupper PC and then run the command below?

Backup to the shared network:
AMBackup.exe /b new /t part /s E /d "\\192.168.0.100\Share\Imgfile.adi” /n "BackupToShare" /u "username" /p "password"

when I do this nothing happens.

However, if I launch the GUI via command and select disk backup and go to select the local drive to backup it will not display the local drive.

Is there a special command I am missing?

Error on second recovery with OneKey Recovery

Hi,

I'm testing your option to use Onekey Recovery to create a restore point on a laptop. After doing several tests, I am realizing that the first time I restore the image with onekey, it does it correctly, but if I do it a second time I receive the error message 0x000000e (Unable to access a required device or is not connected).

Im using a ACER B117 laptop with GPT, UEFI and SSD M.2

I need to be able to make the recovery more than once, what can I do? Is this normal? Can you only restore the system once with onekey?

I am waiting for your answer.
Thanks.

Aomei Backupper: How do I access a DIFFERENT Win User's Account Folders via Explore Image?

$

Hi image,

Scenario: I have several previously created important SYSTEM Backups, when my Windows User Account name was "XYZ".

I later had an issue and decided to set up a new Windows 10 User account named "ABC" as some aspects of my old account were not working correctly. It was/is my intention to copy across some files and settings from these previous backups which would have no detrimental effect by being copied across.

Problem: When I use Aomei Backupper Utilities> Explore Image and choose a previous Backup and it saves a virtual (I assume) copy to say M: partition.  I try to access the C:\Users|XYZ folder Windows 10 (no doubt due to its UAC) says I do not have permission to access that folder.  Being able to do so is Vital for me.

I have found a workaround and that is Aomei Backupper and/or Windows 10 DOallow me to copy that XYZ User Account Folder and all its contents to a Partition on my PC. Then I can access THAT copied Folder and all files within. HOWEVER, this this seems a long way around not having direct access to one or two of the  Folder's files in the first place.  Additionally, IF the blocking of permissionis intentional by either Aomei Windows, then it seems totally pointless if I can circumvent the block by just copying the folders and all contents across.

My questions:

1) Should I be able to access the Virtual XYZ Folders of another User Accountanyway via windows Explorer? If not why not?

2) If not, why am I able to copy the Folder and why is that not also blocked due to permission restrictions (using Windows Explorer?)

3) What can I do to get direct access to the Virtual C:\Users\XYZ folders in the first place?

I appreciate this blocking may be intentional (even though I have a Windows Administrator User Account to stop access to another users Account folders. However it that is the case I should not be able to copy there folders else where and then have access to those.

I did try the application “TakeOwnershipEX” on the virtual folders but not unsurprisingly it did not work on the virtual Aomei backup.

Am I doing something wrong in how I expect to get access to XYZ User folders or other permission protected Folders and Files?

If not, is there an easier better way to get access than using my workaround?

Many thanks all

Backupper: UEFI USB bootable disc fails to start

Hi,

I'm trying to create a bootable USB drive in UEFI mode using Backupper Standard's built-in feature (version 4.1.0). It just does not work although no error is shown during creation. I used several different thumb drives on 3 different computers: the USB drive is not recognized as being bootable afterwards.
The legacy mode for USB works like it should however, and burning to CD/DVD is no problem in either mode.

The same is true when I don't directly write to disc but write to an ISO file and then create a disc using Rufus (for USB) or a burning tool (for CD/DVD).

Has anyone ever succeeded in creating a bootable thumb drive working with UEFI?

Backerupper-To Share/NAS- Specified path does not exist or is not writeable

Want to do a System Backup from PC running AOMEI Backerupper Pro (PC1) to an external drive on a different PC (PC2) on the same local network.  The folder on the external drive to which the image is to be written ("Sysimage-Dif-Z820") is shared with write permission for PC1 and with windows explorer on PC1, I can see the folder and write to it.  From the "Share/NAS Management" window I added PC2 using the ip address.  The management window then showed all the folders on PC2 and I selected the external drive and the management window created another directory entry on the left side: "\\192.168.1.118\P Drive on HTPC (Backup)" and listed all the folders on the external drive.  I then selected the folder to backup the image: "Sysimage-Dif-Z820", then "OK" and the management window closes and the System Backup window, "Step2" area does not show the address and has the message below it saying: "The specified path does not exist or is not writable".

Clearly the path exists (selected it from the Share/NAS Management window).  Why would it not be "writable"? since I can write to it from PC1 using Window Explorer on PC1?

Move installed apps to new computer

I have an old PC running Windows 10 with all my apps installed. I just bought a new computer, also with Windows 10 but different hardware.

I would like to move my files and some of my apps to the new computer, but retain the apps that came with the new computer. Can I move just some of the apps, or will it move the entire system? Will it delete the existing system installation?

For Backupper Pro running on Win 7 or Win 10 (have both), can I have multiple tasks scheduled to run at PC shutdown?  Will Backupper run the tasks sequentially or start them all running concurrently at the trigger time?

I don't mind you making a buck. How-fucking-ever, to follow a link to download your software on the promise that a feature is free and then after taking the DL time and install time and task set up time to be hit with a paywall is infuriating. FUCK YOU!

AOMEI Backupper adi file compatibility between releases

$

Maybe I have missed this perhaps by not using the right words to search but I can not find any details about the compatibility of .adi files between releases of AOMEI backupper.

e.g. Can version 4.1 restore backups created using 4.0.2 or vice versa.

What about backups created with version 3?

I do not want to have to keep more bootable USB drives including different versions of AOMEI Backupper than are necessary. Keeping records of the version used to make the backup is another issue.

I mostly back up full systems and occasionally just partitions but never files only.

Booting from USB stick with AOMEI WinPE fails due to missing hal.dll

Recently I updated AOMEI Backupper (shortcut ABU) v3.5 to v4.1 Standard.

Because I made the WinPE USB stick (with ABU on it) 3 years ago, I made a new one with PEBuilder (file size 153.976.416 bytes). Unfortunately, booting with this new version fails. At a certain moment there is the 'Windows Boot Manager' screen that shows 'Windows failed to start' and also that file hal.dll is missing or corrupted.

It would be nice if someone knows the reason of this problem or has some suggestions for trying to solve it.

The installed OS on my systems (a desktop and a laptop) is Windows 7 Pro and the hal.dll is present in the System32 directory.

Every time I get the message "Operating system not found...press any key to restart" Pressing a key restarts properly in Windows 10. It looks as if there is another OS (probably Win PE) in the boot.exe file but I don't know how to clear it.
Any suggestions?

Hello,

I am using Win10 last update 1803
I tried to create a PE sytem with some drivers but it doesn't take them.
If I use backupper to create the recovery disk, it takes the drivers.
I use the same drivers for the 2 systems
I redownload the PE environment from Aomei
I can't find why it doesn't work.
Any ideas ?

Thank you

Christophe
