When I do a full backup using "AOMEI Backupper standard" there is a message: "The above files are being used by other programs, so is unable to backup them. Please click the following button to continue.
Restart
Mode Backup: (recommended) The rogram will restart computer and enter
the restart mode (windows pe mode) to complete this backup
autamatically.
retry: after close other programs to release the occupation of the files and click retry.
skip: if you do not want to backup the above files, click skip to ignore them.
cancel: cancel this backup operation."


I check using the program "Unlocker" - files is not busy.

The problem is what can be?

I've asked this before.

Trying to create bootable media

I keep getting "Detects that there isn't any writable disc, please insert a writable disc."..

I'm able to burn and copy using other software to these sane discs.

Is there a workaround??

How and where do I download an ISO and burn it to ta disc??

If I want to use this software I guess I'll have to do it this way.

Backupper question regarding system disk backup

Did a system disk backup of my Windows 10 drive (SSD 120gb), saving to a backupper bootable memory stick...Could I use this to restore the image to a new 500gb SSD,  and will backupper resize the main partition accordingly, whilst keeping the other reserved partitions intact and leave me with a fully functioning new booting Windows drive?.  What I don't want to end up with is a separate partition for the majority of the extra space..

When I try and have it create a recovery partition, if there is a partion at the end of my HD AOMEI Fails. This is a problem since GPT hard drives put a partition at the end of the drives :(

Partition Assistant will not delete or format data on WIN10 SSD

I have tried and tried to get Partition Assistant to format or delete partitions on my Win10 SSD. It seems to be working and doing the job correctly, but when ever I click OK on the final window the drive goes back to showing it has partitions and data. What am I doing wrong?

corrupted MFT

I am trying to clone my drive to a back up drive. I am being told that the $MFT is corrupted and to run chkdsk. Well, chkdsk /f /r will run for many hours and then boots up into windows10. But I still get the same error message when running Backup standard. I have been through this loop several times. How do I resolve this?

On Win7 The boot disk has no mouse support or keyboard support

Hi, I thought support you might like to know.


On my win10 notebook I have had success. I created two Boot disks from the AOMEI utilities. I don't remember the details. I later needed to do a restore and it worked.


So upon getting a new drive on my Win7 machine, installing all my software and getting things running well I found Acronis now does not detect the C drive on the win7 machine. So I decided to try AOMEI. I used one of the AOMEI boot disks created on the Win10 machine and they read in okay. I did all the steps to the point of a restore but I of course did not complete it because I had just installed everything. So I then decided to try and create a rescue disk by installing AOMEI on the win7 machine (an I5 machine). Two problems occur.

P1:

It will not complete the write to the brand new DVD-R. It gets 99% of the boot disk complete then it ejects the DVD-R and locks up.


P2

I tried the boot with the new DVD-R and it reads it in but the AOMEI interface locks up (mouse and keyboard can not do anything). So then using AOMEI installed on win7 I created an ISO file and I burn it with Active@ ISO Burner. The burn was successful. So I use this disk to boot to the machine and again the AOMEI interface comes up but it is locked so the mouse and the keyboard do not work.


So I am finished for now since I wasted 3 brand new DVD-R disks at about $1.00 each. I will use my machine and hopefully the AOMEI boot disk that was created on the WIn10 machine will do a proper restore when the time comes. At least the AOMEI the was in stalled on Win7 does create a backup image of my C drive correctly. If the restore fails then I will be back to my old habits of spending a day or two installing all my software again.

Backupper Pro Stopped Working

Greetings Tech Support,

I have been using Backerupper Pro for about a year or so with no problems.  A few weeks ago it has stopped working completely.  I get a popup message that says:

"Information, The current edition doesn't support to create a portable version.  If you want to use a portable version of the program, please choose Technician Plus Edition"

I don't understand what this means.  I backup to Seagate USB drives and had the process automated.

What should I do?

Newbe - Backupper Setup Questions

Just installed Backupper. Thanks to all of the documentation, it went very smooth, but have a few questions:

1, When I set time for Schedule, I see what appears to be a 12 hour clock (12:00am to Noon). I would like my backup to occur in the late afternoon. How do I set the clock for like 5:00PM?


2. When I set up email notification, I selected my GMail account, and sent a Test EMail. I got a message from Google saying,   "Google just blocked someone from signing into your Google Account from this app that may put your account at risk - Less Secure App. Some apps and devices use less secure sign-in technology, which makes your account more vulnerable." It allowed me to override the block by changing my security settings, but warned me that my Google Account is no longer protected by modern security standards. Does this mean I must be at risk in order to use this very neat netification feature?



3. I did my 1st System Backup, then edited a test document and then did an Incramental Backup. When I mounted the Incramental to check the test document, I saw the current level, but not the previous level. I expected to see both. Do I have to look through older backups in the same batch to find older leverls?

Unexpected Results While Creating Bootable CD

While creating a bootable CD, the process froze at 99% complete. However the CD Writer door opened (suggesting the job was complete). The files on the CD  are as shown in the below picture.I tested the CD and it booted up just fine.

My selections for the CD were: WindowsPE, Legacy disk, Burn to CD Disk.

Do I really have a good Bootable Disk?

What's going on with the freezing at 99%?

What's going on with the desktop.ini that is waiting to be burned?


Also, after I booted up with it, it appears the only way to shut down my computer is by holding the power switch down. Is that correct? Is that really a good idea (I was always taught that bad things can happen when shutting down that way)?

I'm trying to clone my HD but when I run it I get an error message: information code:4120  Failed to adjust partition size. 

The destination drive is smaller than the source drive, but there's plenty of room for what's actually on the source. The source, Disk 0, has 2 partitions containing about 55GB of data in total. The destination, Disk 1, contains 80GB completely unallocated.

Can anybody tell me why this isn't working and what I should do about it?

Error 4160

For about 2 weeks, all my backups are failing with this code, "Failed to open file".  The directory being saved to is about 660GB, and the external drive it's on checks fine.  Reboot doesn't solve the issue.  


Is there any way to find out what file won't open?  Is this referring to a file being backed up, or the backup file?


Would my next step be to make a new backup task and delete the old one?

Will this work: clone laptop drive to external HDD to have a swappable HD?

Hi, 

 If I clone my laptop harddrive to an identical 2TB 2.5" drive in an external USB enclosure, is there a way to do incremental or differential backups to that cloned drive? My plan is to have as a second backup a nearly identical drive I can swap in should my laptop drive fail. I suppose I coud do a full clone weekly. The cloning would need to clone 3 partitions on the laptop drive: C:, D: and the small partition with the Windows recovery files. 


The reason is to have an alterate to the backups I'm doing with Aomei and Norton Ghost 15 to a second 1 TB drive in the laptop. Sometimes I find the recovery DVDs don't always run properly. In the situation where I can't restore from a saved image, I would just swap the drives.

Invalid image file

Just ran a System Backup, and during the Integrty Check, got this message:

    Information Code:4104

margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">    Invalid image file. This file may be not complete or has been damaged, or it does not match with the current software         

margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">    version.

Ran the backup again and got the same message.

What does this mean to me? How do I get a valid image file?
