I tried doing a backup and it worked with most of my files, but Adobe files in several folders came up with the description: "The above files are being used by other programs, so is unable to backup them. Please click the following button to continue." It said to "Restart Mode Backup," which I tried, but that didn't help. Those files are not being used by other programs. What is the problem?

New external hard drive not displayed in my computer or disk management options
Hello All - Hope you help/advise - I'm trying to connect a new Seagate 3TB Expansion external desktop drive to my old Windows XP Home - SP3 desktop.
diskmgmt.msc option does not display new drive - only c-drive
I have been using another 3 year old 3gb Seagate drive on same XP desktop almost daily with no problems.
I'm trying to assign a new drive letter to the hard drive but get an error
I have checked the error message page - it suggests manually changing the drive name but I can't do that as the new hard drive is not displayed in the pc's disk management option - any ideas what I can try next please ?

Trying to convert MBR to GPT getting error
I'm receiving error code 49 during attemp to convert my MBR Boot partition to GPT. I'm also getting a message that my system is 1703 or higher. What does it all mean? Is there any way to convert without losing all my data?

Trouble using PXE boot.
Hi, I am trying to use the Pxe boot tool with some success but wonder if you could suggest what I may be missing. I am loading windows 7 and it gets to a point where it wants cd drivers and will not continue without them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot Do Incremental Backup--Source Folder Was Renamed
Hello. I tried to do an incremental backup of a folder on my external hard drive. However, after I did the original full backup, I renamed that source folder. Now, when I try to do an incremental backup, I am unable to. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see.
My question is: Is there a way to get Aomei Backupper Standard to locate the renamed folder, and proceed with the incremental backup? If I am unable to do that, then I have to create a new, full backup, which takes a few hours.

Not booting after Restore
Dear AOMEI Support,
I'm currently testing your Programm "AOMEI Backupper", but so far it seems not to work.
I first tried it with a X1 from Lenovo with Windows 8.1, where I did a Disk Backup and got a Bluescreen. The options I used were the standard options, like normal compression, no encryption, automatic splitting, intelligent sector backup and VSS.
My first thought was that it could be a Problem with the UEFI boot or something that does not work with Windows 8.1, so I got myself an other Laptop (Lenovo X300) with XP installed instead of Windows 8.
Then I tried the same thing, the Disk Backup with standard options. After I restored the image file and restarted the Laptop it didn't boot anymore.
That's when I changed the options from backing-up every sector and restoring every sector, or not using VSS. Afterwards I also didn't only use the disk backup but the system and the partition Backup as well but nothing worked. Every time i tried to boot only the blinking underline appeared.
The last thing I tried was to search in some forums but I didn't find anyone with the same problem.
I hope you can help me.

Partition split failed. Cant boot laptop

Issues with new Partition Assistant 6.6 and Win10
Hello,
I have some problems with new Partition Assistant 6.6 under Windows 10 Pro x64 (Version 1709). Shrinking and moving systemdrive in PreOsMode or with WinPE-Bootmedia always ends in chkdsk errors. Also when I shrinking systemdrive to generate some unallocated space, the unallocated space disappears after reload drives and after next boot there are chkdsk errors on drive c:. Fortunately I have images to restore system in each case, but it seems that new PA doesnt work reliable.
In addition there is a feature I am missing since longer time, the ability to remove PA and Backupper from WinRE. It is a very good feature that I can add this tools to RE, but what when I want to remove them?

No Secure Erase on PE Partition Assistant
I have Partition Assistant Standard 6.6.
Drive is a SSD: Samsung MMCRE28G8MXP
I don't get an option for a secure erase. I do get the option to "Wipe the Hard Drive". Does this program know to use secure erase automatically or is there something wrong here?

64 bit Windows 10 task scheduler incorectly reports backup was successful when it actually failed
I'm running Backupper Pro on a 64-bit Windows 10 Pro maching and using Windows task scheduler rather than the AOMEI service since I need to have the machine wake from sleep mode if necessary to run the backup. As the title says, the AOMEI log file showed the task errored with code 33, but yet Windows 10 task scheduler history indicated it was successful. I'm not sure if Backupper showed anything when it encountered the error because I was accessing the machine remotely and was unable to communicate with it. I'm not sure if the error caused the machine to not be accessible, possibly because of a popup window flagging the error.
Also, it would be helpful to have a list of all of the error codes and a description of each for reference. I haven't been able to locate such a listing.

Backupper space managment scheme error
Backupper Technician Plus 4.0.6 make backup (full image) to folder whith quota and get error 4138 - There is not enough space on the disk..
Folder contains two full backups and nine differenceal for each, bacckupper must delete old full + differencial backup and make new backup.

Notebook won't boot after restoring image
I backed up my Windows 8.1 to a USB hdd using AOMEI backupper from a dying hdd and after replacing the hdd with a fresh one restored the backed up image using the recovery usb media. The reovery was successful as reported by backupper but the windows isn't booting. It is an HP machine (compaq 15-s007tu). Is there a way to repair the restored image?

Explore Image for a File Backup in Backupper
Hi, I've found AOMEI Backupper to be extremely useful. I've primarily used the System and Disk Backups. I love how you can temporarily mount the image as a virtual drive to explore its contents. But when I've now just tried to do the same for a File Backup, it appears to insist on copying the selected files to my hard drive, as opposed to letting me explore the contents in Windows Explorer. Not nearly as convenient!! Am I missing something? Thanks!
