File/Folder syncronisation fails - Files in use

Hello,

I'm trying to sync multiple folders from my computer with a externe USB device. Everything worked as it should during the first, second and third sync. Now I'm getting always a "Files in User" error while syncing. Even if i havn't start any programm and my system is completly fresh started.

System: Windows 10 x64 (anniversary update)

Program: Aomei Backupper v3.5

I'm not sure if it's maybe not working because the anniversary update or because i updated from v3.4 to v3.5. I recreated the sync task after the update (from aomei) and the first, second and third time every went well. Has someone any suggestions to fix this issue?

Greetings PPP

Backups missing from image list but .afi files exist

I have 3 backup tasks configured for my C, D and G drives.

All use schedule, set to run on a Friday morning and are set to do incremental backups to a NAS drive.

AOMEI Backupper Standard - 4.0.5 (also just updated to 4.0.6 this morning after backups had run)

My C and G backups are working as normal.

My D backup is running the task and creating the AFI files on my NAS but in Aomei, the latest backups do not show up in the logs, the versions or if I do the Explore/Check Image options.

It hasnt logged my last 2 backups on drive D in AOMEI but the AFI files are present.

Backupper doesn't copy files in certain sub directories

Backupper Standard Edition 4.0.6. When using Backup File Sync quite a few files that are in sub directories aren't backed up.  Some files are, and I can't see any logical reason why. The file and folder names do not indicate any pattern.  Windows 10 Creators Edition. Copying from Dell Vostro desktop to Samsung 1T portable hard drive.

Backup File Sync takes a very long time, even if only one file has changed.

Backupper Standard Edition 4.0.6. When using Backup File Sync, the process of syncronising my documents takes a very long time, even if only one fike has been changed.  It would be just as quick to delete my previous backup and copy all the files again manually. Is this normal?  Windows 10 Creators Edition.

Encryption Key

Hello.  When my disk or system backup is encrypted, where is the private key located?  Is this a separate key file external to the backup or is the key internal to the .adi file.  My concern is if my laptop crashes and i get my backup file from an external site, how will the file know my password is correct without having to look for an actual private key file?

Thanks

Backupper is restoring to wrong HDD?

$

So I have one SDD (disk 0) and one SATA HDD (disk1). I made backup of SDD system partition (128GB). Now I bought a new laptop with also an SDD of 128GB. I want to retore the old system partition backup that I have to the new SDD.

So I selected the backup file and selected as target Disk 0 (new SDD in new laptop).

However when I restart the new laptop, it appears that AOMEI has restored the system backup to the wrong drive Disk 1, the SATA disk instead of the SDD. How can that be?

How can I migrate my old SDD system partition to the new SDD, so it will boot with my old WIN 10 config?

Restoring system image via USB 3.0 port not working (usb 2.0 does)

Hi all,

Equipment:

1x PCI Express 4 Port USB 3.0 PCIe Controller Card (with SATA Power) [product link] [latest dirver v4.90a].

1x 16GB USB 3.0 Sandisk Extreme Pen drive containing the windows 7 system image backup file.

1x 4GB USB 2.0 Generic Pen Drive containing Windows PE bootdisk with VIA drivers loaded sucessfully:

I've been testing a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 image that I created recently after a clean install.

The bootdisk loads without issues and no errors. It doesn't clarify if the VIA USB 3.0 drivers have been loaded though.

At step 2 of the system restore, when clicking on path to select the system image file; if my Sandisk Extreme 16GB pen drive is in one of the USB 3.0 ports on the PCIe card, it will not appear in my computer.

However, when connected to a USB 2.0 port via the motherboard; it appears and I can restore the image fine.

Please help me to get this working on my USB 3.0 ports as the time it would take to restore would be greatly reduced.

Also, the system image is being written to an SSD drive (AHCI is set in my bios). I have the Asus P6T motherboard if you need to know this.

Thank you in advance.

Invalid image file.

So I have this ADI file. When I try to mount it, check the integrity or perform a restore, all I get is Invalid Image file. This file may not be complete etc.

I tried to open the file on three different computer, with three different software versions of Backupper. All with the same result.

Is there anyway I can extract some specifi files from the ADI backup? These are files I cannot retrieve otherwise, so it is quite serious !

thanks for the help

Crash during setup

Aoemi installation caused my machine to crash.

I have Windows 10 1703 on a Biostar TB85 with gb mem.

I want to have it loaded. I have tried to uninstall as it did not completely finish. I have uninstalled Aomei from "Apps" but I am still getting "Aoemi PA has been installed , do you want to uninstall it?" click Yes and nothing occurs.

What can I do next?

are AOMEI Backupper disk clones supposed to be bootable?

EOM.

I'm wondering b/c I did a Disk Clone using AOMEI Backupper Standard and now it won't boot.

I've read in variuos places on this forum conflicting messages. There's one message which says it should boot, then another message which says it shouldn't.

Backupper Pro - How to Set Number of Increments in Scheme

$

In the incremental scheme, is there a way to specify how many incremental backups are done between the full backups? No matter what I do, I can only set the number of full sets to be saved until deletion by a new set, but not of how many individual increments. I want to run a full backup once a week, and then two increments on each remaining day.

Is it so obvious that I am missing it?

Thank you! :)

WinXP 32 bit machine creates bootable CD with 64 bit app (winload.exe)

I installed Backupper (4.0.6) on my old Dell (Inspiron 9300) 32bit laptop which has WinXP. I created a bootable CD with the following selections:

 - Disc Type: WinPE

 - PE boot mode: Creat legacy bootable disc (with WinPE environment from internet)

which it did. When I booted from the CD, it loaded the files (progess bar along the bottom of the screen) then displayed:

File: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

Status: 0xc000035a

Info: This 64-bit application couldn't load because your PC doesn't have a 64-bit processor.

Is there anything I can do?

BTW: I created bootable USB stick for my Win10 machine and it booted fine.

Hi

I tried to restore an image from one PC to another .

The new PC is an old laptop an "Advent 8215P"

I followed the instructions carefully and made sure the restore to dissimilar hardware box was selected.

When it was finished I rebooted but after the BIOS was loaded I just get "Windows is copying files" it then reboots and keeps doing this over and over again.

The windows version I am trying to move to the new PC  is windows 7 ultimate

I am using Backupper professional.

Has anyone any idea whats wrong please?

Cloned 256Gb SSD to 126Gb SSD, no boot options

$

Hello,

I cloned my 256Gb SSD (with 100Gb of Data on it) to an image file, then restored the image file to my new 126 Gb SSD.

The new drive looks identical to my old one, but I can't get it to boot windows from the drive.

The option to boot it doesnt appear in the BIOS, and when I force it to run, it just tells me to run a viable OS.

Any help would be much appreciated. Most of the info I have found is to do with upgraded size of hard drives and it's hard to find info on how to downgrade in size.
