Error because of filesize, but external drive is EXFAT

I tried to do a File Sync from one external drive to another.

I got an error saying "Single file is too big... So we suggest you restore to NTFS, EXFAT or other file system that
support much bigger single file."

However, both drives are EXFAT, and both are GPT. Also, the file in question was 7GB.

Please advise on how to proceed with a successful backup / file sync. Thank you.
