AOMEI Backupper Professional System and Disk Clone failed

My Asus notebook K401 showed ST1000LM035 SMART status bad backup and replace
I ran chdsk /f /r -> Windows took about 6 hours to complete this successfully
The notebook still showed SMART status bad backup and replace
I purchases a new Sandisk SSD 1 TB
Purchased AOMEI Backupper Professional, created AOMEI Backupper Professional in USB stick
Installed the SSD in the notebook as disk 0, booted from USB stick and ran System clone to disk 0 SSD
System clone hung after several hours. Progress bar stopped halfway. 
Rebooted from USB stick and ran diskpart -> Only the system partition got cloned!
Ran disk clone -> Again disk clone hung after several hours. Progress bar stopped halfway! -> diskpart list partition only shows system partition cloned
Ran partition clone -> AOMEI showed Failed to read sector (with bad sector)/Failed to write sector (with bad sector)
Now I am trying the following:
Boot from AOMEI USB stick -> Running AOMEI Back up to external drive 4 TB -> Hopefully AOMEI will copy the 4 partitions called System, reserved, primary (contains volume c) and recovery, from the original Asus Seagate drive to my external 4TB WD drive
Still waiting.. I will try the following next:
Place Sandisk SSD in the notebook drive bay (disk 0) > Boot up from AOMEI USB stick > Run restore from backup saved in 4 TB 
Expected outcome:
AOMEI should restore all 4 partitions including the Windows Boot Manager to the fresh empty allocation space in the SSD and I should be able to boot up from the Sandisk SSD disk 0. Bad sectors would anyhow not exist in the backup image file.

Cannot see Flash Drive in AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition

I have a Samsung USB 3.0 FIT 128GB: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/usb-30-fit-128gb

I have plugged it into my computer and it is not showing in Partition Assistant. I have a separate 2TB hard drive which shows up fine when connected.

The flash drive does appear in Disk Management, it does appear in DiskPart when accessed through Command Prompt, I can see it and its partitions in Disk Management and I can also see it in Windows Explorer and access the files.

I want to clear all the data on the drive and re-format it back to factory settings due to me receiving the following error when transferring files: 0x800703EE ERROR
I have tried to delete all existing files manually, which appears to work in the UI, but when I eject then connect, the files are still on the drive.

1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all USB controllers
2. I have tried re-formatting by navigating to Windows Explorer, right-click on the drive, then Format, however this does not do anything, and when I cancel, it crashes (I've waited overnight on it doing something.)
3. I have tried deleting some of the partitions using Disk Management, but this does not do anything: I'm left with 200MB Healthy (EFI System Partition) / 119.18GB Healthy (Primary Partition) / 126MB Unallocated
4. I have tried using DiskPart to: clean (DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk.), and create partition (Virtual Disk Service error: The operation timed out. DiskPart has referenced an object which is not up-to-date. Refresh the object by using the RESCAN command. If the problem persists exit DiskPart, then restart DiskPart or restart the computer.)
- I have rescanned, restarted, but same issue persists.

5. I have also tried re-formatting it using Disk Utility on my Mac, but it fails here also.

This then lead me to installing Partition Assistant, but I cannot do anything in here as the drive does not appear.

Any help would be appreciated.

AOMEI OneKey Recovery-Customized Technician-Failure to create backup "Performing Reboot Mode Failed"

I am using the AOMEI OneKey Recovery-Customized Technician software.  I have been for years and have few issues however it has failed to complete the backup on a few PC Tablets that I have tried.  The newest one is an HP X2 210 G2.  It is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. 
The software installs well.  The backup begins and proceeds as normal to about 30%.  Then it jumps to 100% and stops.  The list of tasks stops with the final line of "Performing reboot mode failed".  Is there something that needs to be changed in the BIOS Settings?  How can I get this to create a complete recovery?

Upon backup completion on DVD's, continues asking for more DVD's

Using full backup on DVD's, when finisched Writing the last DVD, Backupper ask for next DVD, next DVD, etc until I cancelled the backup process. The backup process did send the 'process complete¨message, but continued asking for more DVD's.

Hello Everybody,
how are you ?? i hope you are all in a good health
i had created both Disk Full backup and incremental backup in last month (20 & 23 May) respectively that i had to restore them recently  (which is done successfully )
today i tried to create incremental backup from the latest one but failed with error code 4123

The specified volume 0 hasn't been found or has been changed.

The specified volume 1 hasn't been found or has been changed.

The specified volume 2 hasn't been found or has been changed.

The specified volume 3(C:) hasn't been found or has been changed.

Information Code:4123

All partitions that need to be backed up have not been found.

is there any way to fix that except deleting the backup and make full backup again as they were created for fresh windows 10 installation with build 1809 which will cost a lot of hassle to make it again and reconfigure all my application ??

Phantom drives

I attempted to clone a disk to a 2TB disk but the clone failed because the destination disk had failed due to numerous bad sectors and the G: drive was removed. The backups and clone were wiped from the system. I installed a new, unused, drive and found I now had a new problem. The G: drive, as far as the AOMEI files were concerned, still existed the new clone was now given the G: identity which now did not exist. This drive does not show up in any of the Windows files and I can only assume that it's existence is only in the AOEMI system. How do I remove this 'Phantom' drive?

Restore single folder from full system backup

Have full system backup with a problem with operating system and I want to restore one folder to a new hard drive. Is there a simple way to do this as tutorials go on about partitions and other technical details and as a computer nerd I get lost in the detail. Tried Image file explore ended up with 3 files which will not load with explorer as read only and I gave up there as it started looking complicated. Also how do I delete the image files in the created image drives G H and I 
Using Windows 10 Home with Aomei Standard.

Cloning Has Stopped at 98%, What To Do?

I'm trying to replace the HDD on an older Windows 10 machine with a 2TB SSD. I used Backupper Premium to first clone the tiny SYSTEM partition. The process was fast and without error messages. 

After that I began cloning the major partition. I selected MBR and the recommended option that will improve speed of the SSD.

The process was slow, as expected due to the 1.6TB of data to be copied over. The progress indicator showed 1%, wait awhile, 2%, wait awhile, 3%, etc. After about 9 hours the progress indicator said 54%. About 10 minutes later it had unexpectedly jumped to 98%. I was very happy.

That was 13 hours ago, and it is still showing 98% completed, and "System Updating..." 

The list of tasks shows:
Clone is initializing
Checking volumes
Partition cloning
Coying data
Update system information

The machine doesn't seem to be frozen...I can move the Backupper window around.

Is this thing ever going to finish?

HDD -> SSD advice

I bought AOEMI Pro for my 10 year-old laptop.
I'm just about to try to migrate the 1TB HDD to a 1TB SDD (+ using the old HDD drive in a CD-drive caddy).
This is the first time I have done something like this.

I note that there are some posts in this forum regarding users who have cloned their HDD to SSD, but then cannot get the new SSD to boot. It makes me think this process is not as straightforward as I have been led to believe, and that lots of things can go wrong.

Can someone tell me what sort of things I should look out for to avoid such problems, and have the migration go smoothly?

Access Denied - Unable to Open Folder After Backup

Hello, I backed up my C drive because I needed to Reset My Computer to Factory Default. The backup went well and I am able to browse and access almost all files except one folder where all my documents are. Here is what happens when I try to access:

1. I get this message:
      "You don't currently have permission to access this folder.
      Click Continue to permanenly get access to this folder

2. I click on Continue.

3. Then I get this message:
     "You have been denied permission to access this folder."
     To gain access to this folderyou will need to use the security tab.

4. I have given myself Full Access from the security tab to everything that I can think of including of course the folder
    I need but cannot acces because obviously its an image and permission cannot be overwritten.

Any help is appreciated.

Reverse EXT to NTFS/FAT

Have the pleasure to use PAssist Pro in formatting HDDs and USB sticks into Ext4 for Linux STBs. 
When done sooner or later I want to reformat some storages back to NTFS og FAT(32), but so far I failed doing that. Using Linux format in Win10 is no good at all.

But is there a method to change the format  into FAT/NTFS ??

Below is a typical Ext4 USB stick partly loaded but no drive letter. (I don't bother the content)

Backupper cannot see Synology NAS

Our household Synology NAS is on a fixed IP address (192.168.1.5). We all have fully patched Windows 10 machines. If we enter the IP address in a browser window on any of the PCs the NAS can be viewed.

But, backupper cannot be configured on one of the PCs. I attempt to add share or NAS device and I get "Failed to access the network path, please check if your username, password and network path are correct." It works on another. Very odd.

I've probably done something exceptionally stupid; but cannot think of what it may be. 

Any ideas, please?

Clone won't boot in windows 7 pro

I hope someone can help me out..
I run win7 pro and have several partitions on the same 2.5" ssd 
I used Aomei Backupper (free version) to clone C: to E: (both have the same size and with 30GB spare space each  and  ticked Optimize for SSD, than started Clone operation. -->ALL seems to  have gone OK..
I installed Easybcd v4.2  and  entered  both C & E drives in the boot menu with time-out of 3 s.
On rebooting the laptop  the Easybcd menu shows and boots fine into C: But if I choose to boot from E: (the cloned version) it still boots into C: I tried this a few times, but it keeps ignoring the E partition.
I put different  text files on both partitions, so I know for sure which one it has booted into
Can anyone please please shed some light on this problem?

Image deploy & Backupper confusion?

My Company has donated laptops to a local charity.

I was hoping to use image deploy & Backupper to push a Win 7 image to the laptops over a network I have setup for them

On one machine I have installed the O.S, updates & applications and configured as a master device for the image.

Image deploy is setup on a small server I have on this network along with Backupper.

I created a boot disk with Backupper util and used this to boot up my Master machine with plans to create the image to deploy to the other devices.

Problem is the boot disk only gives options for CLONE or RECOVER  no option to create an image.

So where have I gone wrong or have I misunderstood something ?

I thought the idea was to create a master image and use that to deploy?  But no option for that in the boot disk.

I appreciate any help or advise.
