The original image was made with the free version. Can I restore just the files that contain the user applications such as MS Office? If not I expect to be able to connect to and read the hdd from the old computer using Aomei on the new computer. That may allow me to do a new system image or other backup process to get my apps onto the new computer. Any help is appreciated. (i did read that maybe i need a non-free version to do what I want?)

this part of the product is a tragic fail, such a disappointment when it could be a huge advantage ;(

clients folder and just assumes the magic will occur sometime in the
future. it does not check that the cloud software is running but
reports success even though no files have been transferred off the hard
drive. the same result can be achieved by copy and paste in explorer
without having duplicate IMHO. in addition, there's no separate metadata
file so if you ever had to rebuild a laptop and didn't know which
backup file contained the item needed, you'd have to download

Unable to create boot CD
Hello...
Really like the software, but....
I'm running Windows 8.1 on a Lenovo G710 laptop with its own DVD-Rewritable drive
All went well regarding creating system backup. 
However I wasn't able to create a bootable CD of Windows PE.
The Lenovo runs UEFI boot mode...
I ticked this and all went well till progress bar reached 99%...
The ISO image was showing as 'successful', but the process simply would not complete itself - even after a long wait!!
Also, the DVD-Rewritable drive would not eject the disc!
So, I had to close down the Lenovo and 'eject' disc via Windows Explorer...
I'm guessing the 'lead-out' of the burning process somehow would not complete.
I normally use NERO for all my CD-burning but there was no option to select that...only Windows built-in burner..
After such a good start with AOMI Backupper, I'm now wondering if I can rely on it when it counts!
Anyone have the same problem trying to create a bootable CD???
Any suggestions?

Backup with NAS outside home network
Hello, i try to configure AOMMEI Backupper to use a NAS. With the internal IP from the NAS ( WD MIrror2) it works, but how do i need to configure for external use? External IP? Port Forwarting?

Disk Backup check - Info Code:4104 Invalid image file. Standard Edition 4.0.6

When doing a disk backup and checking the image, I always get:
Information Code:4104
Invalid image file. This file may be not complete or has been damaged, or it does not match with the current software version.
I have tried uninstalling, then re-installing the program. I get the error when doing the backup and check or afterward when I use the utilities to check the image. I tried going into component services, COM security, and adding NETWORK SERVICE to the permissions. Then rebooted. I still get the error. Note that I can "explore the image" and see what appears to be my disk in total.
Any help would be appreciated.

Error Message
I am trying to connect Backupper Pro (trial) to my NAS. I am able to see the nas and drives in Windows and also am able to FTP files using WinSCP. When I enter the info in Backupper the NAS shows up as do the drives, however when I choose the drive I get this message: The program is unable to connect to the network. Please enter the correct credentials and check that your network is functioning correctly. I know that my "credentials" are correct and that the network is functional. Any ideas??

restore only specific files / folders
Hi,
I use the AOMEI Backupper Standard and for the first time I need to recover/restore data.
I do not want restore the "whole" system rom a specific date, but only specific files or folders.
But I do not find the way to choose the files/folders I want ro restore.
Is this possible in general and if yes, how?

Disk Backup - really unexpected behaviour
Hello friends,
I'have bought Aomei Backupper pro and I have come across 2 major flaws which I cannot solve on my own :/
1) Using disk backup on my main disk (NVME) is performing ok, however, a disk backup of my second disk is really slow. It is like 65 MB/s on a Samsung SSD 850 EVO. I checked my SSD using CrystalDiskMark 6.0 and is performing as expected, so I assume the problem has to lie within the Aomei Backupper.
2) On both disks, incremental backup takes almost as long as a full backup, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Destination for both backups is a third, internal disk. (This third disk cannot cause the problem because my main disk backups there too and the performance is ok as stated above)
Backup checking is turned off.
Can you please assist ?

AOMEI PE Builder 2.0 - useless and broken with bug
I found the following:
- Image created under RS3 does not work on computer with RS3
- Image created under RS2 does not work on computer with RS3
- Image created under RS2 work on computrer with RS2
AOMEI PE Builder 2.0 is not supported for Windows 10 Redstone 3!
1. When user add apps into UserTools folder, they all can not be launched! Only text documents have ability for opening, but execution is forbidden!
2. When user launch the integrated browser and hit some url address, there is no internet connection!
3. I think the missing progress bar for copy/paste is related to the same problem.
So, why you did not warn the users on your website to prevent this solid trouble?
AOMEI PE Builder 2.0 is not valid program for all the computers with installed Win10 RS3!

Western Digital My Cloud Home
Hello,
I have just bought an external hard disk Western Digital My Cloud Home that seems to have 2 areas :
A public area : Access by \\MYCLOUD-XXXXXX\Public\
A private area : Access only by a browser and by a local drive x:\ mounted when i installed the driver of the cloud.
In the backupper, i have no problems when i place my backups or synchronize datas to the public share.
But backuper don't see the drive x:\ : when i select it, i have a message : Drive X:\ does not exist.
Is it a way to place dates on the private area of my cloud ?

why does incremental backup takes such a long time?
Hi,
I use Backupper Professional to make backups from my separtate data-drive.
The drive is 900GB whereoff 408 GB is used for actual data.
When I doe an incremental backup this takes a very long time > 1hr, even when no dat has changed.
I would think that this should only take a few seconds while searching with Windows Explorer for files changed after a certain date only takes 1 second!
It looks like Backupper checks the whole drive for changed databloks and does not use indexes for changed files.

Bug: Disk Backupper Freezes the System
Hi,
my system freezes completely while trying to make disc image backups from my system drive (full backup).
I use Windows 10 x64 on a lenovo ThinkPad T540p, and a Samsung SSD with basic disc layout.
The Problem is independent of using VSS or AOMEIs own alternative.
Backupper writes around 25 MB to the external (USB3) hard drive, and according to Windows Resource Monitor it reads a lot of data with maximum speed from system-ssd, but don't write anything to the target drive. After some minutes Backuper stops reading from source-ssd. The system drive is somehow completely locked for any writes, but system tasks reads data from the disc. Because of the ongoing write lock the system freezes and i need to make a hard reset. I am somehow perplexed.

Can I use Backupper to migrate an existing Win7 system from hard disk to SSD?
Assume I use currently a hard disk in my computer.
On partition C: a 64bit Win 7 system is installed.
Now I want to replace this hard disk by a new SSD (or add a SSD).
Can I migrate/move the partition C: (and the Win 7 system on it) somehow to SSD with Aomai Backupper?
In other words: Can I restore a Backupper backup file onto a SSD partition?
