Need help with backup scheme

I'm new to using this product and I'm a bit frustrated. I'm doing a disk backup with a differential scheme and it seems to be doing a full back up every 4th time it does a back up. This takes too long. I want a back up scheme that only does a full back up maybe once a month. How can I change my back up to accomplish this.
